I had forgotten what a great voice Harry Belafonte had. This is a beautiful cover of the Gordon Lightfoot original 'Song For A Winter's Night' of which Lightfoot's working title was 'The Hands I Love'. It is the hook line in the original song and is creatively brought to life by Harry in this wonderful version which is a lot slower than the Lightfoot original. Still great listening just the same.
words can hardly describe the feelings of warmth and nostalgia that overcomes me hearing this song. One of my old time favorites.
a very beautiful song- makes me recall my teen age years- thank you harry for this lovely song.

Yes it's a beautiful version. Thank you for doing that.
Onvergetelijk... beter is niet mogelijk.
Written by Gordon Lightfoot and originally title, SONG FOR A WINTER'S DAY.
Yes he has a beautiful voice and did a great job. However I like the Merrymen version better.
