Ayo that first story about First contact here is as realistic as it could get if we actually met another intelligent species that had been as alone as us. That’s actually touching.
Not quite, the bit about communication being hard to decipher really isn't. Light and sound especially, you just need a 2 by 2 grid to project an image onto, and then any bitmap would work
Dear humanity: we regret being alien bastards, we regret coming to earth, and we most definitely regret that the core just blew up are ragedy ass fleet! OOH RAH
@@ckl9390 What a load of utter garbage. Just because ancestors 370 million years ago were fish, does not make terrestrial vertebrates fish. Mammals are not reptiles, reptiles are not amphibians, and so on. That kind of garbage is the sort of thing that is spouted by people with a very, very loose grasp of Evolution. There are far, far more differences between mammals and fish, or reptiles and fish than there are similarities, and many of those differences are very profound, even fundamental.
the second story reminded me of those scenes in WWII stories/videos/games of the landing boats on D-Day and there abouts. Just missing the pilot yelling "30 seconds boys! God Speed!"
Well the Tellamani definitely have something to trade with humanity... a safer FTL drive. Unfortunately (or possibly fortunately depending on what the future brings), the one thing humans excel at is war.
The humans are helping the aliens to retake their home world. The aliens are in their battle suit and the humans are in theirs. I feel like the dropship is human seeing how heavily armed it is.
SMH You mean to tell me, the birdies went FTL unarmed and unarmoured? I could say something about Birdbrains, but what's the point? Yeah ! Billions of battlefields , millions of worlds, trillions of species, still the same insanity! I wont say there is never a good enough reason for war, but i will say it solves nothing. Whatever prompted it is internal not external. You might think i'm crazy, not that i care, yet most wars are caused by internal problems. Few are true wars of conquest, for resources needed. Most conflicts, are a way of deferring dealing with distasteful internal problems. From the first war to the latest invasion, a handful were about resources needed , that could not be acquired any other way. The majority are about internal issues. I had a visitor last night. we got to talking and .. this is the conclusion we both reached just before sunup forced us to seek our beds. Well well glory be, my guest is finally awake. Youngsters! So much time wasted sleeping. If our discussions continue, if the topic is relevant, i will tell you what we decided .
Yea except for ending slavery, Nazism and Japanese Imperialism - and also bringing our nation into existence, war never solved anything. Iraq isn't a Parliamentary Democracy that has had three peaceful changes of political power based on election results. We didn't hunt down and exterminate al Qaeda. South Korea wasn't saved from conquest by North Korea. Iraq was not driven out of Kuwait in 1991. Serbia was not forced to end the massacres and leave Kosovo. Yea - war never solves anything.

I absolutely loved both stories! I wish that they both would have continuations!

Once the fishies get that starship working, they will have FTL.
FISH.. IN.. SPAAAAAAAAACE!
They'll be the finest ambassadors we could ever hope for. Go fishies, make us proud! For all fishdom... and (maybe) humanity.
@@neosildrake Remember that humans, indeed all tetra-pod vertebrates even snakes, are also fish.

That 2nd story was absolutely breathtaking
i enjoyed both stories and really want to know more of what happens in both
especially the first contact one
One day they'll make a translator.

#1 is really interesting and fun story
Want more with both of these. What happens with the Tellamoni and what happened to Hazen?
Hopefully things are going well for the Skald and his family.
Nice stories!
Thanks for the narrations!
For the algorithm!
Yeah…no pressure there, Kaquila.
Greetings Mentlegent
For the Rhyhtm that is Algo
Story 1: Yeah, we can be a bit scary.
Story 2: Good story of alliance
Shout to my buddy Carl Shores a combat medic from 10th Mountain, with out you I wouldn't be here.
what was the music you used for the second story?

Story 1. What they call a warship is not what the humans call a warship.
For the Algorithm the story and the voice
For the alogoritm!
I don't quite get the second one. Are humans enemies or allies of the alien that made landfall in the dropship?
