Using a jack instead of ramps - I would suggest BEFORE JACKING, chalk the wheels that will be on the ground, shift to neural to allow the vehicle to settle and only then engage the parking brake and shift to park. Glad you at least used jack stands. But damn, you gotta ask yourself if a trans fluid change is worth getting paralyzed or worse. I've seen lighter vehicles slip off under slight inclines.
I would do the drain and fill one time, then drive the vehicle around for a week or so, then drain/fill again. That would allow the old and new fluids to mix better, so you would get more of the old fluid out the second time.
Sometimes that's enough info for someone but not everyone is as mechanically inclined or experienced like you. A lot of us could use detail step by step to make them confident in tackling a job like this. A lot can go wrong actually assuming things and filling in blanks if not shown.
@@secondarycontainment4727 I took it to a mechanic with 30 years experience and I offered to pay him and he said he couldn’t cause there is no fill valve you would have to crack the case
Perfect explanation of the job. My '15 had a sometimes bump shift all gone with fluid change and no sparkle in the fluid.
Great video. I’m feeling more confident in tackling this. Thanks

Thank you!! Just what the Dr. ordered..🙏🏻
~5:15. Drain plug is 11mm. Now go drain and fill ~1.9 gallons. Done.

The nut just above the drain nut is called what?
Aren’t you supposed to replace the PTU fluid when you change transmission fluid
If you have one, yes. Every 30k

Ford told me there is no drain plug on my flex. V6 you are showing a plug
What year is your flex? They do have drain plugs
Some mechanics at Ford dealership are incompetent
