Hey there buddy! Please get well soon. I am a year older than you. I feel like you and I see life the same way, through automobiles and trucks. My family and I lived in Kew Gardens Queens New York, from 63 to 78. My Dad owned an automatic transmission shop and a Mobile station. That was across the street from the transmission shop. I worked there from about 1975 until my Dad's death in 1993. I'm 60 years old and cars are a big part of my life. Over the years I have worked for GM dealers in the early 80s and for the city of New York, as a mechanic. When I listen to you speak, it brings me back in time. I see Dad and his shop, I see his face. I see my old roadrunner, it's perfectly clear. That's why I watch. So, thanks for the memories. Get well soon, I need another walk down memory lane. He showed the driveline components of the Tempest/LeMans torque tube, rear transaxle. The die-cast 6 cylinder (was that AMC ? ). I made it required watching 'cause I know I'll learn something new.

Digging through junkyard's was my favorite pastime in the late 70's and through the 80' and 90's until they were mostly gone. I sure do miss it! Nothing will ever be as fun again!

This brings me back to my younger days when I loved going through junkyards to check out the inventory and do my best to remember it for my friends who were building cars.
Hi Steve So glad you're carrying through with this idea, JYG was always my favourite show on the MTOD app, the chips have fallen in such a way that MTOD isn't available in the UK anymore but even if it were I had no interest in renewing my subscription once I heard about them pulling the show. I know you're accepting the situation with good grace (huge respect for that, so many people get into mud slinging in situation like this) but I do feel Motortrend were short sighted in their decision. All that said, I can't wait to see more from you on TH-cam, best of luck for the future!

I'm a 76 yo car guy from vt and i watched barrett Jackson for years but i hated the Host that gave bad info on the cars up on the block. When you arrived i hadn't know who you were but i soon learned that you were the man! especially on mopars You made all the difference in that show in my opinion.
