Good to see the number 17K here tonight. Bought the new Saxon finally. Also, Witch Vomit, Ronnie James Dio- This is Your Life, Dio- Dream Evil, Vader- The Empire. Keep those reviews coming! 🤘
KAAAAALLLLMMMMAAAAHHH!!! Dude, I saw these guys before the world turned into a dumpster fire off their Palo tour at Baltimore Soundstage. They had their tour bus and gear trailer parked out front after the show and it looked so busted and broken down, they had 2 flat tires bungie corded to the top of the trailer and it was the last show on the tour. I've waited since They will Return for a live tour and those guys took 2 hours after the show to shake everyone's hands and sign merch for free. These guys are amazing and love their fans. The new album had 2 or 3 bad ones, but it's better than the 50/50s they've put out since Black Waltz. Best tracks are aerve the Untrue, Red and Black, taken before given, and veil of sin. Thanks nick. Been asking for this one for a while. Cheers!!!
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, this new one was solid. Man, sound like they had a rough run on the road for that tour but it's awesome they still stuck around to hang with the fans and shoot the shit. I love seeing bands just hang for a bit and talk if they can. There were some kinda meh track on this one but overall it was pretty solid. Take care, man!

Necrotic Nick- We had the pleasure of seeing Pitlord at Full Terror Assault last year and they killed it (and then grilled it) live. I became an instant fan and At the Plates is definitely giving me the same vibes here. I guess Internal Bleeding are accidental pioneers in their own way and Rottrevore are such a hidden gem in death metal. I really hope they drop something new in the future. Abyssus definitely wears their love for Obituary on their sleeve but I don't blame them. That groovy shit will always be golden to me. Yeah, apparently I need to look into Banished as well since they're closely related to Baphomet as well.

41:40 if you wanna know the translation it is “Caught Up By Death” and “Till Death Do Us Part”. Horns up from your danish friend 😁🤘 Edit: you did pretty good on your pronunciation btw ☺️ Not totally correct, but I think most danish people would understand what you are trying to say.
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! Yeah, I gave the pronunciations a whirl but man is that tough to sound out. Even when I looked up how to pronounce them I was still confused lol. Anyway, I appreciate the kind words. Cheers from Ohio!
@@thrallsofmetal Nope. At the Gates is a Swedish melodic death metal act known for their 1995 album Slaughter of the Soul! The twins who play guitar and bass in the band also had another band called The Haunted.
Necrotic Nick- Gutvoid is sick as hell. Solid dudes too. Same with Lipoma. If you have checked out Gutvoid's "Astral Bestiary" EP you jam that one as well. Killer stuff.
@thrallsofmetal a lot of EPs pass me by unless I hear a lot of buzz around them. At least by people I have similar tastes to. I'll definitely check that out. I was waiting for ages for them to add Lipoma and Gutvoid on Metalstorm, but I realised you could suggest bands, which is cool. They were suggested pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I'm still the only one to rate their albums lol.
I know you guys probably won't review it, but you should definitely pick up Atoll' new album. Blistering Deathgrind with a Mr Slave sample lol. Yes, you heard me correctly.
Necrotic Nick- Actually I've covered them in collection updates before and that band's love for comedic samples is awesome. I'll be covering the new one in the next collection update for sure.
Don’t think there are any tracks on there that didn’t make it onto The Dead Shall Inherit. They also re-recorded a lot of the same material Again under the name Banished (album name: Deliver Me Unto Pain). All three releases are pretty great though anyway.
Necrotic Nick- I think they might have retitled some of them for The Dead Shall Inherit but they were all pretty close. It's an interesting releases for sure and I still need to check out Banished as well. That might be next on the list.
The Banished one definitely does contain some other tracks. And yeah, well worth picking up. Peaceville have reissued it a few times so not expensive either.

Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! Yeah, it's been a long strange trip to this point but it's been a ton of fun.
Me: seeing Snorlax and thinking right away of Pokémon
Nick: def a Pokémon reference
Me: gotta bleh em all
That At The Plates album was the first I heard of 2024 and started off the year right. Such a fun album
Necrotic Nick- It might be mine as well since I believe Pitlord linked them in a post I saw. Killer stuff and I love all the puns.
Abyssus is rad Obituary worship. Just saw they have a new EP.

At the plates is a really fun album title
Necrotic Nick- That's the name of the band actually.
The At the Plates album was talked about in January by JC Rock and Metal Reviews. The name of the band is based off At the Gates, which is funny.
Necrotic Nick- Who's At the Gates? Is this another ska band like Trivium?
@@thrallsofmetal Nope. At the Gates is a Swedish melodic death metal act known for their 1995 album Slaughter of the Soul! The twins who play guitar and bass in the band also had another band called The Haunted.
Necrotic Nick- So they're not ska like Trivium but ska like The Haunted?
So, At the Plates is based on At the Gates. WTF - are you sure? That seems a big leap.
@@spencergrady5501 Look at the name of the band!
Kakmah is awesome and ill check out the other bands you've been going over
Necrotic Nick- Lots of killer death metal in this one. Enjoy.
I loved that Gutvoid album. I've finally managed to get them a page on Metalstorm along with Lipoma.

Happy to see Dripping Decay. That record is so disgusting and foul! 😃
Necrotic Nick- That album rips. I pretty much love anything that reminds me of Exhumed or Impaled.

Also, it has a gloriously terrible cover.
are you gonna grab the new Knocked Loose?
Necrotic Nick- I really dug the new single so there's a good chance we'll cover it when the full album drops.
Hey buddy, are you on discogs ?
Necrotic Nick- Yep. But I don't sell anything there. I just use it to keep track of my collection.
