Monica is so damn funny and doesn't always get the credit that some of the guys do. One of her other funniest lines is the "You suck" at the table football
I love how he repeatedly visits her dorm (which clearly the other kids know what's going on between them) and yells things like "breakup still on!" (which he probably would have yelled "I made a mistake, let's be together again!" If given the chance), yet "no one knows" and he still gets to keep his job... 😂🤷♀️
Ross always either getting hit or getting things thrown at him. Monica threw oranges at him Rachel throwing the newspaper at him Elizabeth hitting him with water balloons. Julie throwing silverware at him Emily punching him in the stomach Joey punching him in the eye. Poor Ross he was like a punching bag. Lol
There’s something about Ross and dramatic break ups, the one time he regretted a break up because it didn’t end badly, one could see why he was starting to regret it lol.
Fun Fact: it was originally planned that the sixth season would end with Ross learning that Elizabeth was pregnant, only to realize that he was not the father after the birth towards the end of the seventh season, but the producers abandoned this plot idea as it would have involved a great deal of investment in a secondary character with no actual result.
Man, and it would have been a serious waste of time and energy to Ross. Plus, it may have cast Elizabeth as a worse person. She could have cheated on him or in the very least be so irresponsible as to not know who the father is. Plus, they'd have to get Bruce Willis back and yes, Ross'd be fired. And if they can't get Bruce back due to money or something, it'd hurt the storyline. Good idea ditching this idea.
Here is this thing: she made a list of the things in the relationship... She didn't make a list of Chandler vs Richard , how much they earn and how they look . Ross did the latter .
Monica: 'You need to weigh the good and the bad stuff of the relationship against each other.' Ross: *begins to compile a list of the good and bad things about the relationship* Monica, not even 1 minute later: 'Forget all that, the only question you need to ask yourself is: do you see a future with her?' Pick a lane, Monica! It's either the list thing or the one question thing. Can't do both!

@mattyprry there's a huge difference in levels of maturity between 20 to 25. Your brain chemistry changes between those years and what society expects of you changes also. You can go from being a college kid to paying your rent and having a job in just 5 years. It's okay that she is not ready for a serious relationship at 20. And Ross is trying to take her to a play while she is actually just trying to have fun as any young college kid would it just went right for each other at all.
@mattyprry 10 years is a lot as far as age differences go between 20 and 30. Not so big of a difference between 30 and 40. 20 you barely know who you are what you want out of life. As someone who's about Ross's age now there are things I would want in relationship that I know that I definitely didn't want at 20 years old. But after 30 I think most people can handle a relationship with an older person because you are more mature and you have had more life experience.
@@badman3000 I agree it's alright she's not ready. Lots of people are over 25 and fully developed brain and still don't k ow what they want. But she still is an adult though and while she's totally allowed to have fun, she's also totally allowed to date older people. Maturity is what matters not age. Had she been more mature for her age and Ross less mature for his age, they might have worked out. I know it's comedy, but I think the friends acted poorly. The constant jokes was always going to weigh heavily on him as many people respect the opinion of their peers highly in regards to relationships. Yes there was the other issues of age difference with what Phoebe's brother Frank with Alice, and of course Monica and Richard's history. But still the age difference and maturity were brought up and all, and here we see that despite her maturity of taking Ross's class and dating him, she was still a young college student and wants to have fun, also in an example of episodes back with the Spring Break with the situation Ross had with Elizabeth not wanting her to go and be crazy. But also let's not forget the big important thing, Ross is also a teacher and there was the rule that a teacher and a student can't date. I mean he could've lost his job if any other teachers were to find out.
Again, these are just my opinions and I respect those who have opinions of their own.
Why does he want to date her?
Um… yeah, good question. What guy would want to date a younger beautiful woman.
The creep in that relationship gets worse the older I get. Absolutely gross the show runners signed off on it.
You gotta remember that this show came out during a time when this kind of stuff wasn’t seen as very controversial

I know it's comedy, but I think the friends acted poorly. The constant jokes was always going to weigh heavily on him as many people respect the opinion of their peers highly in regards to relationships. It is not their place to cast judgement and they should have supported him and helped. I also think Monica steered him in the direction she wanted him to go, without considering his own needs.
dumb
Ross kinda deserve it Hell in an Alternative timeline Ross probably died in Season 3 in the episode where the five went skiing and he took the easy way out. So Randler happen and Moey happen
