Considering Schwimmer directed this episode, I greatly respect that he didn’t indulge with a gratuitous make-out scene between him and this actress. That also works from the comedy aspect: the abrupt cut to them rumpled and surrounded by the security guards is freaking hilarious 😂
I'm sure they thought about it, but at the latest, during the cut, they must have guessed, cutting from the obvious beginning to already being caught, is way more funnier, as it triggers the viewers fantasy, instead of feeding it.
Ross is easily the funniest Friend. All the others have "quirks" or try to hard to be funny. But Ross is an educated professional with an adult job, and he's a parent. He's not designed to be funny. That's what makes him so funny.
Cause there's nothing interesting to show or write about if a relationship is good from the get go. Also, the writers always centered it around Ross and Rachel anyway.
The more i look into Ross character the more that he stands out as the best character. PhD, good looks, great finances, own place, well educated, leader in his career, and sleeps with gorgeous women. The guy is every guys goal really

Funny as the ending was, I really wish we would have seen that girl around more, at least date Ross for a few episodes. He finally met someone on his wavelength! Oh and "can't afford more security" but two police officers show up lol.
Ok, besides being a small spot in what seems to be a medium size library, why on god's green earth would you think is a good idea to fool around in a place were you can be heard if you turn on the heat and also be found quickly by anyone? And I know it's a sitcom, he's a main character, and it was the 2000s, but I'm surprised Ross wasn't fired after being found out doing calling-security-worthy things with a student in a VERY public place inside the campus.
It's a TV show. TV influences society unfortunately. But TV is not society. This is not real. A lot of what happens in Friends is not realistic at all.

I like that he brought Chandler down there for that because he knew who would make fun of it the least. Nobody would've appreciated the same way as Chandler since they were roommates in college so he probably knows just how hard Ross worked on it.
I love how Ross had nothing better do to with his day than go and guard his book in the library for hours on end.
