And a third setting, where she’s kind of messy with a slight mean streak. The time when she planted the insecurity in chandler, because she mentioned monica really wanted joey, and the time when she made the big deal about the massage place with rachel. There were more episodes too where she was messy af, but overall shes a good friend, i just think sometimes does things that are not helpful either.

rachel is the only one from the group who has no personal growth. just look at how she wurmed herself into monica's life, who wasnt even invited to her fucking wedding even though they spend alot of time together in highschool. monica got dumped because rachel had her precious little life as a stuckup , golddiggin princess. then she runs away from that to the one person she hasnt even contacted in years let alone invited to her wedding.
this sums up rachel perfectly. anyone claiming otherwise hasnt seen the show till the end. monica even did her, perfectly: i love ross, i HATE ross, i love ross, i HATE ross. lol
If Rachel was more mature, he and Ross would've never broken up and the series would've been much shorter

This is something I really hated about Rachel. When Ross is available she goes chasing some Chad or Tyrone, when Ross was with someone else, then she suddenly wanted him. Don’t know if the show runners did this accidentally or not, but Rachel is the perfect case of having her cake and eating it mentality.

Phoebe is such a saint! Out of all of the friends, I think I would get along with her the best. She’s a genuinely good person who tries to help her friends out anyway she can.
she's also one of the worst friends there. Makes rachel tear up a ticket/coupon for a massage when she works there, berates ross because he told her that a cat was not her mum, makes a huge deal about donating the wedding money to charity then doesn't go through with it

So he “cheated” on her and she left him and ended everything. Now he’s dating again starting to like someone so she tries to break it up then ended up shaving the god damn girl bold again and had him break up with her so that they can get back together. Only to pull out a holdup with a newspaper about how he should take the full responsibility (after she decided that she wants him back) ultimately they broke up again..
only to realize that she still loves him few months later when he’s about to get married with that British girl then runs all the way to London to stop the marriage…

Try watching the baby got back episode they are great together. I love the first 3 seasons. Also love ending. Do agree their antics were at times crazy but they are great actors on a very special show.
Love the first three seasons. Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer were great together. They are true stars of comedy. Sit coms live off romantic conflict which is not always logical.
As a former English major, I LOVE plots/jokes that rely on phrasing practices.

Except technically Phoebe never did say "she was bald" and more so just said the word bald which did imply that Bonnie was still bald. Honestly it feels like the writers could have done a better job building the plot on this one.
@@svscared true she never said "was" but I don't think "bald" insinuated currently. If I was describing someone that we met before and I said "pink dress", that doesn't insinuate that they currently have on a pink dress. It was just a way to jog Rachel's memory and it worked.

This is why I never liked Rachel as a character on this show. She interferes in peoples lives in ways that aren’t beneficial for them as much as they are beneficial for her, while trying to look like she isn’t meddling.
A lot of Friends episodes that had famous & quite famous actors & actresses I remembered were in Friends, but 2 actresses that were in Friends that happened to also be in films I'd watched and not remembered were the same people who were in Friends although remembered the characters were Barney (Dodgeball etc...BenStiller's wife Stiller was also in episode in same period) and Felicity a year later in London (from TheSixthSense).

Rachel really sabotaged so many of Ross' relationships. She always belittled him, she made fun of him for having a PhD, she literally tried to take him away from the group when they broke up, she acted like they were HER friends and that they should absolutely take HER side. She really was so very toxic. I'm not saying Ross wasn't, but Ross was a dork and often had times when he was annoying as well but Rachel definitely takes the cake.
Ross is way kinder than Rachel. And I agree too. I swear after Pheebs said "If you can't be civil then I don't think we can hang out anymore" during the group's argument when Pheebs' car broke down, I was rooting for Rachel to leave. Screw her. Friends is already great without her. I always felt like she didn't fit in with the gang. She's more suited to be with her rich friends, yknow?

Honestly, I hate Rachel because I met someone toxic in a similar way just not to that extent. And whenever I see this kind of person, it makes me sick.
Ngl, I hate when people call Ross the bad guy and Rachel the good guy. To me the roles are opposite. Some examples of Rachel being a demon are.
1) she litterly only wants Ross when his dating someone else
2) she sabotages all of his relationships so only they can be together. Even though she’s the one that ends it most of the time.
3) the list thing, like omg who the hell cares. He choose you, you got flaws, he loves you for then move on.
4) that time Ross had an important speech to give and she decided to legit be a child and throw a tantrum (5 minutes before they had to go, mind you) just because he asked her to hurry up (after they only had about 10 minutes left)
5) she broke up with him, got mad that he slept with someone else and brought that up after every argument.
Etc.
I seriously will never understand how so many people pretend Ross and Rachel were not horribly toxic when it came to the romantic side of things between the two of them.
