OMG! any better demonstration of this red dot? I want to see it LOL an excellent video, halosun needs to pay you for this brother, thanks for the video.
Another great review! I've been using one of these on a pistol for about 6 months now, and I did eventually end up turning off the circle and using just the 2moa dot. I like the circle dot concept, but in practice I've found that I actually acquired close targets just as fast with just the dot and the circle slows me down at medium / long range. I do like the 65moa circle dot for a larger optic on a rifle/pcc, but on this one it didn't work for me. I think a ~45moa circle would be the sweet spot for me with this size optic, but maybe the circle dot concept just doesn't work well with such a small field of view.
Another great review!!!! If I was rich I would send you every optic as soon as they come so you could review them for the poors. Being a poor, I just have to settle for what Jeff and the guys loan you...lol
You are an excellent reviewer! Love how you're showing the auto brightness feature while discussing another feature. I'm looking for a burris fastfire III successor for pistols...is this the best one? Love the 32MOA outer circle. Wish this one could flip between red and green display.
I"m more interested in the 407k, but you did a great job of showing the day/night/light scenarios and I have to believe the 407k would be very similar.
Can you clarify? At the 1:45 mark you say that the optic holds up well in the high contrast. Do you mean that although the camera doesnt capture it, with your eye you could still see the dot in the light? same with the 1:26 mark where the dot really washes out on the lit snow? is it worse on camera?
It's not the reticle changing size, its the relationship to the window that makes it seem that way. If you want to test it, put the circle dot on a small screw on a light switch or something from a few feet away and focus on the screw and see what the reticle does as you move it closer and further from your eye. It should maintain a consistent size in relation to the screw. It's a pretty neat optical illusion.
Is it normal that the sight picture of the circle dot looks like its on a slight clockwise cant (rotated to the right slightly)? Like very minimally but still noticeable. I bought a 507c and then returned it and bought a 2nd and felt the same thing, then i watch you video and i think it has the same issue but im wondering if thats just me being OCD or they are actually all like that
I've had my 507c for a month or less. It's mounted on my EDC S&W M&P 9mm 2.0 w/4"barrel. I used plates from outer impact (52.00 for a packages that allows me/you to use just about every RDSs on the market). I see I have to grow a finger nail on my left index finger, so I can operate the little! buttons on the side!! You must have had a camera in one hand and the site in the other. How in the world did you keep the dot/reaticle so still? If I could hold my site that still, my accurase (sp) would improve 50% or more!! One other comment, I can sit in my living room and try to put my POA on something outside. The site disappears no matter how much I move my gun around (completely empty of course!) I have to look at something dark to find it again and try to keep it on the glass then get my POA. First time viewer, liked. Thank you for your time good luck on your further (sp....it's bad when I can't even spell close enough for my spell checker to correct it! I often have to think of another word that means the same but is easier to spell!)
Venom for ultimate compactness and weight. This for battery life and reticle. Price wise the 507 goes on sale from time to time. They could be had for roughly the same price.
I just ordered the 507c x2 for my m&p should be here Saturday they say the glass is cleaner on the x2 wayyyy less tint then rmr and a side battery tray 😁
does this optic have auto brightness? i know it has the solar panel for charging, but holosun also states you can use it in auto adjustment brightness mode?
@@CDOES right maybe i missed it but i thought you just mentioned its impact on battery life. I was more wondering if the auto brightness was on during the demo as you seemed to be adjusting the brightness manually.

That is painful to hear man. I too have a astigmatism. Typically I notice it. But with the 507 and 515 it wasn't bad at all. LPVO's are a good in-between if they work for you, however.

Let me add my review. They suck. The glass on mine shattered after a 1.5' fall onto a wood floor. I sent it back to Holosun and they said it was "normal" for them to shatter like this (!?) and would not do anything about it. These are fragile, delicate range toys. Don't buy. 507c V2 addresses the button and battery access concerns. As for pistols, they also have the 507k which is much smaller and well suited for pistols
