Chopin only wrote 2 concerto’s in his life. He made these two with pure emotion. In parts 4:00 - 5:14 , you could hear him gazing at stars and then him writing under the dim light of his oil lamp, getting frustrated at himself, but remembering all the happy memories of his life (his mother, his happy, lively pieces etc.).

Zimerman's rendition of this beautiful Chopin movement is absolutely the apex. I have owned another version for more than a decade and have thoroughly enjoyed it. But, after listening several times to Zimerman's tranquil, pensive, delicate interpretation here on TH-cam, I no longer want to hear my original - that one seems rushed and almost superficial (hard to believe). I've also listened to other versions, such as Arthur Rubinstein's. But, Zimerman absolutely owns this piece. EXQUISITE.

9:59 one of the reasons why I love Zimerman's Chopin Piano Concerto No.1 is the orchestra's melody is so clear in this later part. I don't know why most other renditions have more quiet orchestra sound than piano in this part. I enrolled in the army a week ago. Army in my country is necessary so people tend to not take it seriously. After a long day we are supposed to sleep. But I can't. Being away from family, friends gym mates I feel extremely lonely. Thoughts of a girl that I like keep me awake, Memories, conversations jokes and the image of her in my mind. The view from my window isn't anything special the night sky is empty of stars and the moon doesn't shine its majestic light. The emptiness of the night sky somewhat materializes my eternal loneliness. The only visible and identifiable thing that I can see is a skyscraper that is illuminated at night. Just the thought that that she sees that building as well makes the dull and boring view of nothingness a comforting and beautiful place that I can stare at for hours and think of her. I liked this girl for a long time. She is literally the most perfect and beautiful girl that I've ever seen. I can't imagine a girl more pretty than her. She is average height with a small frame she has wide clavical bones for her structure. Her face portrays a beauty that can only be found in the world of poetry and art. She has prominent cheek bones a Roman nose big feminine eyes and the most seductive lips that help highlight her warm and beautiful smile. I even remember the first time we've talked alone it was a summer night the day before schools opened an event was held. We ve talked in the dark the only source of light was the moonlight. Her dark eyes were sparkling like the night stars. I can't even remember what we've talked about I just remember her beautiful face looking up at me and smiling. That memory burns in my my and brings me indescribable feelings. This is the only piece that can potrey how I feel about her. I want to give her so much. I want to make her feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. I want to hold her and feel her warmth. I want to listen to her rant about anything. Every conversation I have with her is special to me despite the topic. I just love the way she talks and treats others. I love how she has a great relationship with her parents. Her laugh is so cute that it makes my stomach hurt every time I hear it. Listening to this piece alone in the army base staring at a blank night sky thinking of her makes me feel and experience the catharsis of somene that admits that he is in love.

As I’m watching the Truman show, I think: “This music is too good for a typical movie soundtrack. It even sounds like Chopin.”

Sitting at a lonely bench at night staring at a night sky full of stars. Thoughts of a girl that I like pop in my head. I start recolling our interactions and conversations and i suddenly feel a sense of indescribable loneliness . I recall that every time I see her my heart starts singing the most beautiful melodies,my mood instantly lits up and my night out gets purpose. Thinking of all this I now regret my cowardness and my inability to potrey my feelings to her .

    And Bill will outlive them
    all...
    ...for millions
    and millions of years...
    ...exploring,
    learning, living,
    until the earth is swallowed
    beneath his feet.
    Until the sun is
    long since gone.
    Until time loses all meaning
    and the moment comes
    that he knows only
    the positions of the stars
and sees them whether his eyes
    are closed or open.
    Until he forgets his name
    and the place where
    he'd once come from.
    He lives and he lives
    until all of the lights
    go out.
