Personally, I found the main cast of characters to be really interesting and engaging. I was invested in all of their stories and I'm excited to see what's in store for all of them. Though the way that Sam aligned himself with Cate was pretty contrived.
Ok, but it's just typical high school drama which is never entertaining. If they continue this path of releasing spinoffs, they might become the very thing they were meant to satirize
@@alatusedits Its not that bad, its just that the narrative doesnt give alot of room aside from school drama, because its a show to expand the universe and give us further knowledge about the shady business of vought. Maybe the school / love setting is also a lower barrier of entry for the viewer than The Boys ever was. I think its an ok spinoff.

Just a video idea: In early October you could make a video about how you envision Tord's development in Legacy to have been were he to have any along with how the episodes would change (other than Tord coming back earlier) to celebrate Red October. (I know it was a one time thing but IMO it should be a tradition for Eddsworld fans.)
I really enjoyed this show despite all the flaws. I think I can forgive the high school drama stuff because at the end of the day it is a show about college students, so I kinda like that they leaned into that, it makes the other side of things seem way more extreme. They are just kids with normal problems and I think that was positive for the show. I thought Sam and Emma were really good and the performances really elevated that. Emma's actress killed it in the last episode when she broke down at Sam. Andre was also a good character too, I enjoyed him. Looking forward to the next series ultimately I think. Great video, keep it up and I'm sure you'll grow, glad this was put into my recommended.
Have just watched more of the video and I have to say a lot of the writing was very cheap. Like when the doctor walked into the office with the two of them under the desk just to reveal the entire plan for them. Very rushed and poor writing. I did think the homelander cameo was good as it makes sense that Ashley would call him there. They also had a clear coverup in mind and it makes sense for him to be a part of that. Also him lasering Marie in the chest and her surviving shows how powerful she might be.
The Godolkin mirror. Marie and Mother's Milk are the reasonable character, Jordan and Hughie the insecure ones, Cate and Butcher is extremist, Sam and Kimiko are the tragic children, Emma and Frenchie, the abused but kind to their tragic children characters. I don't like Cate, but I do feel her. We had understand character Cate and Jordan more. Teen drama or not dramatic shit, gonna happen left and right. Also there's not many villains in Gen V, it was just Shetty and Cardosa. Jordan is interesting, I like the themes around their characters.
@@harp167 Butcher is a menace, Hughie is too meek, Frenchie is only stands to Butcher, Kimiko is a maniac, and Annie didn't join until now. Considering MM and Butcher's relationship, he's reasonable.
I agree as much lovd gen v the boys just feels more orginal like had really good acting Anthony starr karl urban jack Quaid jensen ackles many other really great 3 seasons I'm just glad we have shows like the boys gen v and invincible
Yeah, to be honest from the start I would’ve preferred a slightly more faithful adaptation to the Gmen storyline from the comics. Where Hughie has to go under cover and finds out the horrible truth of what happened to the Gmen when they were children.
Only watched because it ties into season 4 of the boys, to be fair, some parts of gen v are alright, but not worth the time it takes to watch on its own merit
It was OK. The speed of the plot progression made up for a lot of shortfalls. It was also a completely different vibe, it felt like a deranged CW show.
