- Join me on a birding adventure as we go searching for an unexpected visitor in Victoria, Australia. In this video, we head to the Western Treatment Plant to get a glimpse of the American Golden Plover bird who against all odds, has been dubbed a mega rarity due to the distance it has travelled off course in its migration. The Western Treatment Plant is truly a magical place for bird watchers and twitchers alike. Will I succeed in finding this rare treasure? Join me to find out.

Shame you didn't get to see the Plover! It was in an area of the WTP we'd never been to before so unless you're on Ebird tracking the sightings, it's really difficult to find rare birds like this one. We did see it though.... along with everyone else with cameras & a set of binoculars! 😂 The WTP is always a fun spot to visit and it's great to see you enjoyed your time there. 😊 ~ Karen
