Thank you very much! I had a flat tire recently on my back tire of my Jetson Bolt Pro and was really distraught and did not know what to do. I found this video and was initially skeptical. Yesterday I followed your instructions and this method did its wonder. Amazing! Today I just rode my bike like the flat tire never happened. The bike was balanced as before and I didn't notice anything different. Also wanted to tell you i watched most of your videos and found them very informative. Initially I bought the Jetson Bolt Pro at Costco because of your video. Really appreciated your help! The bike brought me lots of joy.
Shouldn't be skeptical as these products are used in a spray form for cars for decades. I've been using fix a flat for cars for years as it sprays a white foam into the tire that plugs up a small puncture. Try changing a flat tire in the rain in the dark. Fix a flat saved me many times. Or you can call AAA and wait for a few hours. This works in less than 10 minutes.
I really hope this works like you said it does, I have to use my bike for work and I’m freaking out and it’s my Monday so it’s gunna be a long week if this doesn’t work
@@philc.9280 fix a flat shouldn't be on the market. It ruins your tire. It works long enough to go get a new tire. You could plug the tire and still use it for a long time. Fix a flat makes your car shake until you get a new tire. So I payed $15 for fix a flat then spent $150 for a new tire because of what the fix a flat did. Could've spent $25 to plug the tire. Don't use fix a flat. I haven't tried slime because fix a flat ruined it for others
@@jasonjenkins9247 Sorry to disagree but I've used fix a flat type sprays for many years on many vehicles. The shaking goes away as the sealant spreads evenly inside the tire. You're spreading several ounces inside the tire, so the balance is off for a little while. I even had some cars that I just left the sealant inside without repairing the tire as the nail or screw was so small. It lasted for years. Of course, a big hole should be plugged or removed and professionally patched from the inside.

I have a Jetson bolt version 1 the voltage for it is 36 and the stock battery is 36 volt 6 amp would I be able to upgrade it to a 36 volt 10amp to get more mileage and still use the same controller
@@greenxo2607 Hello, yes you can get 36V 10amp. I would recommend a 36V 14ah to get a better range. Since your bike goes faster than the new version, a 14 or 20ah would give you better value. As long as get 36V the AH number does matter, you can go as high as you like. Thanks for watching my video.

Thanks for this video and all the others. Slime seems to have a couple of different products and one is for emergency use only, they recommend removing the product within 3 days. We have to make sure to use the product for bicycles, tubes. Etc.

Nice video Shiva. I actually have my tires tube not holding pressure well, and was under the assumption that there was a micro hole somewhere. Instead of the slime I used fix a flat instead since it's lighter and doesn't weigh the tire down as much, and at 140lbs, I wanted to make the best of my weight for speed/range. The ones at Walmart were sufficient. Right now it retains pressure for a few good hours, similar to what normal use would cause depressurization, so I can do my deliveries without issues.
@@ShivaSapkota Yes, but the instructions may need to be followed differently given the size of the tires. I shake the can for 10 seconds, insert the provided plug and press the button to inflate. Because I wanted to maximize my speed and weight I only filled the tires in an equivalent of less than 1/4; mainly wanted the tube to be lightly coated for protection against slight pricks and cuts from possible debris in the road. I may look into a heavy duty inner tube for the back tire but for now the fix a flat holds well and gives me that peace of mind. WM also sells that slime next to the fix a flat but ive been told the weight issue when its filled with slime can be problematic, and the Bolt pro has enough weight as is, lol when your battery runs out thats quite the trek home, and for my deliveries that was a no go, so fix a flat works as an light alternative.
I just bought a can of Fix A Flat now I think I want the Slime instead as it's a very large can and you can't tell how much is going in since you cant see through the can,so my question is how long in seconds should I apply to each tire? Thanks.

Hub motor is very difficult to change and can cost you a lot. I am not sure yet when I will have the tire video out, I have so many videos to make and not enough time 😆
How do you tighten up the folding quick release, mine is very loose and I can’t figure how to tighten it so it snaps into place and keeps my bars from not folding. Would love a response!
Hello I have a question. The lock that folds the bike doesn't lock anymore, it is loose. I have to use the lock clip so that the handlebars stay straight. How can I tighten them again? Thanks.
I actually did the slime thing. It worked for about 3 days, then it went flat again. I weigh about 245. I think I might be too heavy for this. I know the specs say 260 but I don’t know how that’s possible. And it’s the back tire that went both times. It’s sad because I really like this bike.

Yeah bro u just gotta replace the inner tube! I’m 6’6” and 235lbs and I ride the one without pedals…. The same thing happened to me but I replaced it with a stronger inner tube from Amazon and applied the slime and I haven’t gotten a flat since.

This is 2 years ago but I’m figuring out how to use my Jetson and how to fix the tire. When I used the slime and spinned it. I pumped air and still had a flat. I can’t hear, see or feel anything. Any tips? Also this is my first time owning a bike 😂

Hello, I will have that video out this weekend. I am able to do about 3 more mph on my new controller using the stock battery. So, it won't boost a lot but that might be enough. I think if I get a 48V battery, it might do more.

I think the valve is torn from the inner tube - of my back tire - but I haven't taken it off - I don't see any puncture marks of nails. will the slime do anything.

Yes it will affect wheel balance. Since these bikes come with no wheel balancing at all, the Slime will actually automatically balance the wheel as you ride. I use AirSoft BB's to balance car tires and Slime will do the same by distributing itself around the inside of the tire and balance the wheel. Motorcyclists and off-road truckers use balancing beads to balance their wheels. There may not be enough Slime injected into the Jetson tires to perfectly balance the wheel, but it will improve the balance, not make it worse.
Hi Allen, how big is the flat? Do you think Slime would help? If not, you can just remove the outer nuts, brake assembly and the wheel should come off. The motor is an embedded hub motor so it comes off with the wheel. You can watch my brake pad replacement video on how to remove the brake assembly. Hope this helps.
@@ShivaSapkota Air gushes out the base of the valve, quickly loses any air pumped in. Slime or bike fix-a-flat would seem futile to even try... I called Jetson, they are sending me a new inner tube under warranty. The lady was very helpful, sent a video link showing some of the process, at least on their version of this ebike without a pedal. Got some useful info too from a bike shop for how the chain gear is loosened.... I think now I understand how to get it done. Thanks for your reply, you are always so helpful!

@@ShivaSapkota FYI... in the end I felt satisfied I knew how to remove the rear wheel to changed the inner tube, but when I went to do it, I got stuck removing the brakes after I inadvertantly stripped the screws on it. So I took it to a bike shop, and they did the job (replacing the inner tube, and the screws too) for $20. Can't beat that!
@@ShivaSapkota just the disk. My back disk got bented and kept me from having a smooth roll. It's having friction and getting caught up with the pad due to it's uneven disc.

@@mavrolus Yes, it is the same process. Just push the tool in a little bit and turn towards the left. Sometime it requires some force while turning. Even though the back valve is bent, the inner part does come out like the front. Hope this helps.

Voids Mercedes tire warranty if used. I'm certain it voids other manufacturers warranties too. Want to ruin your Tire pressure warning sensors/system? Put that in your tire or your neighbors tires if you dislike them.

Yes, it will do the job. They guarantee this will work on treaded area, I don't think this will work on the side walls. Is yours on the treaded area?

@@ShivaSapkota FYI... in the end I felt satisfied I knew how to remove the rear wheel to changed the inner tube, but when I went to do it, I got stuck removing the brakes after I inadvertantly stripped the screws on it. So I took it to a bike shop, and they did the job (replacing the inner tube, and the screws too) for $20. Can't beat that!

@@ShivaSapkota just the disk. My back disk got bented and kept me from having a smooth roll. It's having friction and getting caught up with the pad due to it's uneven disc.

@@mavrolus Yes, it is the same process. Just push the tool in a little bit and turn towards the left. Sometime it requires some force while turning. Even though the back valve is bent, the inner part does come out like the front. Hope this helps.

Voids Mercedes tire warranty if used. I'm certain it voids other manufacturers warranties too. Want to ruin your Tire pressure warning sensors/system? Put that in your tire or your neighbors tires if you dislike them.
Seems like that would gum up the air valve.
