Hey Kirks Dva, Is your Mazda 2 Right hand drive or Left hand drive? Have you found the filter cover plate? On this model on the Right hand side drive, it is located on the right hand side.
Problem is service and customers knowledge . Some customers don't know nothing about car thing only start and drive another problem is service not touching or replacing just tik in box and charging money .My own experience Replacing 4 spark plugs but another 2 didn't touch.and my friend expert after misfiring test one by one .four replacing but two newer

No you can not. They are paper based. They are relatively cheap for the protection they provide.
