We finally did it... (VAN TOUR 2023 - Vintage Bedford CF camper van for hire!)

- After 5 gruelling years, our dream has finally come true. Back in 2018 we bought a 1979 Bedford CF from a barn on Bodmin Moor. We had huge plans to convert it in to a bespoke camper van, to hire out and ultimately enable us to travel further for longer.
We had no skillset for such grand designs, but we persevered and the final result was everything we imagined it would be, and then some.
As we were readying ourselves to hire out the van, our lives changed forever as we were offered a dream job; travelling the world and visiting hidden hot springs, with the backing of Japan's equivalent to the BBC.
FIVE years after this van build journey began, we can finally say. WE DID IT!

Honestly this project was almost soul destroying 😂 It was only TH-cam that kept us going! It’s an untold relief now that it’s done.

PS. we also put a Morrocan sink (in blue) in our wash room here in Japan - cost a fortune to get here, but worth it.

Most people have been great and respectful, although there have been some damages (teething problems mainly). The van seems to attract people that are like-minded to us which is nice!

Thank you! And we’ve decided to keep it stationary so we’ve ended up cutting off the fuel tank (great anti-theft device 😂), if we ever sold it on I’m sure someone could get it driveable
I hope this video is a few weeks old because otherwise you've missed the height of the season.
Nevertheless, I think you'll get a few takers for this as it's fairly unusual.
May I suggest you try advertising on some of the alternative old car sites such as Pistonheads, Autoshite, Retrorides, etc?
Is your new van a BMC J4? I can't think of anything much more under dog than that, and I know someone local who sold one not long ago.

You got us there! We did actually film this in late July but ended up being so busy we didn’t get round to editing and uploading this week! Fortunately we had a very good half season and were almost fully booked throughout August- people seem to love it!
