So glad all of you are back together again!
Great downtime and catchup to see how all the PC's are dealing with the aftermath. However, I cannot wait to hear about "my big fat greek family reunion" next week! Will we see Uncle Jacques and maybe the baby of the family Alan?!?! Uncle Jacques can't be gone! Could we maybe see Alan? Maybe his study abroad did not meet in tragedy and he too is a kindred now?!?! Gulp! So many unanswered questions.

2:18:25 To smoke a kindred actually doesn't need to use blush of life. Even though they don't normaly breath anymore, they can push air in and out of themselves. Otherwise they couldn't speak either.
Smoking for a kindred is actually a very good way of keeping some illusion of breathing around kine, even without blush of life.

Hello, missed you guys, loved the episode, can't wait for the trip to Greece, but something got me wondering...
Concealing the real message for Adder with obfuscate was cool but the original idea Willow had intrigued me more to be honest...
now if we wanna go by the book there is an amalgam of obfuscate and auspex that lets you conceal objects so it would be a stretch to use it in our case and I'm assuming Willow doesn't have it either, there is a ritual in the Blood Sigils source book that our ST loves so much that lets you hide messages but again not something Willow can do, so what can she do?
And how Amalgam, Blood Sorcery Rituals and Oblivion Ceremonies (I mean... since we are at it ...) are born anyway?
The difference between ceremonies and rituals is that the former channels a specific power to go further beyond and achieve something greater, if you don't have that power, you can't perform the ceremony, for rituals as long as you have the right number of dots in blood sorcery you are fine generally speaking, but why only oblivion? What's so special about it? Why can't we have Obfuscate, Auspex or Dominate ceremonies?
The Book of the Grave War... that thing is insane... like literally... it was written by a malkavian and the guy (a nobody really... like 5th/6th gen... Jeanette/Therese Voerman sire... wholly unimportant) poured his madness into it, that thing is weird man, like never mind that Carna used it to break free from the Pyramid, just holding the thing... but I'm digressing (also I should probably stop writing about it...), what I'm trying to say is that it has been done before, and I know this is lore, like... it's legend, we are talking about someone that is almost a Mathuselah, but it doesn't mean that our little Willow can't give it a shot and maybe even succeed to a degree.
I know the scene is done and gone, but just imagine, what if she had wrote the letter with her own blood? You need to Willow, you are not a Mathuselah, ink won't do the trick, so a rouse check to see if that gets you hungry...
Willow starts to write her love letter in her blood, but she wants to convey a vision? How do you even do that? Adder doesn't even have Auspex does he? And that's not how visions work... wait... how do visions work... for a malkavian? It's Auspex sure, but toreadors have it, the tremere have it, is it the same for everybody? Malkavians also seem to tap into something else, we had a prime example during this session... the Cobweb, but Adder is not a malkavian, he doesn't have access to the cobweb, he is not mad... wait... can't Willow make him mad? Just a little bit... it won't hurt him, right? She can break through the defenses of his mind just enough to allow her allucinations... I mean vision... I meant vision... to reach him, so a rouse check to activate dementation and pour your madness into your love letter...
time to convey the real message, the vison (it's a vision ok? Stop it...) and Willow is doing it at the same time as dementation so does this become an amalgam with auspex too? Is it possible? I mean dementation is an amalgam of dominate and obfuscate already... it's gonna be hard, so a rouse check to activate premonition and pour it into the love letter...
Time to conceal everything with obfuscate Willow, this is for Adder's eyes only... did you kiss him in your vision? You did... didn't you? Wait... what if someone else pierces your obfuscate and reads the letter... does that mean you are gonna kiss them? Gross... better make some adjustments, if someone other than Adder reads this your dementation is gonna mess them up, no vision for them, but how do you do it? Is it cloack of shadows? Unseen passage maybe? I mean... it's gonna amalgam with premonition and dementation so just make a rouse check to activate your obfuscate... I'm sure it's gonna work out somehow...
And there you have it, an impromptu ceremony channeling an amalgam of dominate, auspex and obfuscate powers while writing a love letter, we are bending quite a few rules but there is also a great price to pay in blood, there's no reason to let the rules in the books stop you from having fun.

I agree with you, especially because pcs are the most important characters of all the world they're playing so if someone can create something new, imho, is them, not some plot-altering Methuselah who starts already overpowered by default.
Yet if you allow her to come up with a completely new power in a matter of minutes, you change the world they're playing in. Because from that moment onward every player character can reasonably try to come up with ad hoc powers to every situation (ala mages) and I think it's too much. So I would make willow try and try and maybe one day she can do, but not immediately in the session.
