  • How to fix a P0175 engine code: Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 2
A P0175 Code is set when the Bank 2 upstream O2 sensor reports a rich air-fuel mixture. This code can be difficult to troubleshoot since many different things can cause it.

Possible Causes of a P0175 Code:
    Bad Bank-2 Sensor-1 O2 sensor
Mass Air Flow (MAF) or MAP Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
    Leaking Injector on Bank-2
    High Fuel Pressure
Excessive fuel pressure can be caused by a restricted return line or a faulty fuel pressure regulator.
Bad Thermostat or Coolant Temperature Sensor
A stuck open thermostat will cause the engine to run at a lower than usual temperature, which can cause the computer to richen up the fuel.

Great video could of been more helpful on spark plugs. Do we replace them ans hop it wont run rich again?

Would running rich cause a snicky exhaust? Could that make it smell like a bad cat, even when the cat is good? I thought it was the cats, but they look good. I hear a restriction in the exhaust. I thought maybe the mufflers, so I ordered new ones. When I went to change them, you can see through the mufflers. There is no restriction there. I don't think it's the resonators at the end. It sounds deeper inside the exhaust when I hear the restriction. IDK, maybe it is in the cats, the top side looks clean, like new. The O2 sensor is in the center of the cat, and it looks good there. I can't see the end really well, but from what I can see with my inspection camera, it looks okay. 2011 Charger ET 5.7.

It’s not the thermostat bcuz if that was it ur engine will overheat if it was stuck closed but if stuck open maybe

Bank specific p0175 would be that bank. Most of the parts you mentioned would affect both banks. Except the B2S1

In the past, I have skipped over things such as the MAF sensor since a code should be on both banks, only to find a dirty MAF sensor affecting only one bank.

Greetings, hopefully I might get a little more Guidance with this issue. I have a 2015 Yukon that had the transmission replaced.
Fixed it, then got a bad thermostat and temp sensor. So we fix that and now I'm getting this code. Po175... do I just need a code to be cleared? Now that it's running the way it's supposed to? Or do I need to replace the spark plugs, mas, check fuel pressure etc?....ugh.
    Thank you

You could clear the code and see if it comes back. If it comes back, then it will need to be troubleshooted.

I’m betting your catalytic converter is clogged or restricting flow
