Slow reading of MDs could be a laser issue, but I'm testing a theory that is the laser sled worm gear and the runner (the other side of the sled) that are dirty, need cleaning and lubricating. I'll be testing that in a future video, but it seemed to work on my fairly recent "Cheap Minidisc player fully working" video. Want a link?

This unit doesn't seem to support netmd or recording via line in--does it just dub from cd or radio to md..? Does another one of these hi-md decks support record over usb?
