I have one on my P226 XFive legion and the other day at the range, I noticed the dot disappeared a few times while shooting. It happened intermittent. I've only had the Optic for about one month. I'll be taking my XFive Legion to the range again to see if it happens again.
Kind of a bummer, First time I looked through one I liked it. The fact you can cowitness with the built in rear sight / also my astigmatism wasn't an issue looking through it. That being said with your issues , ill probably just go with a Trijicon Rmr. I do own a 507k green dot and besides slight blooming i have no big issues with it
Yeah, man, if it was only one of them then I would say maybe it was just a lemon, but I had to send three of these back two of them because the glass hazed up so bad it distorted the picture and one of them the shake awake feature stopped working. Thanks for watching and for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
i ordered one of the first x compacts, it had a HUGE thumbprint on the glass. these people working at the assembly aren't wearing gloves. i assume my complaint made it to the factory and they are wiping them down with something that is scratching the glass. cause mine didn't have any scratches, but it had a huge thumbprint on the glass. i wear prescription glasses, so i used eye glass cleaner to get rid of the thumbprint. you pay 399$ for an optic, you don't expect to see a thumbprint when you unbox it...
Haha that’s funny. I sent 2 back for scratches and one because the shake awake stopped working. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
The M17 red dot is solid along with the Romeo 1, 2 and 3. However for me this optic and the zero is garbage almost comically junk. Lens scratches super easy, glass looked foggy not very clear and red dot is splattered. I sent 2 back for scratched glass and one back because the shake awake wouldn’t work. Got all 3 back and one has scratched glass again from minimal use. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Thanks for your honesty. I am trying to choose a RDS for the same pistol and I agree, it's compelling because it mounts low without a plate and the x ray sights remain. But I take issue with the small window. I wish there was a new Sig RDS that fit the Pro footprint with a bigger window. So I have to decide whether to just use my Holosun 507Comp with a plate or maybe try a DPP? (Or did I read the Vortexx Defender fits the same footprint as the DPP?) How is the X Pro window holding up on this pistol so far?
I'm also ruminating about a rds to choose. So far no matter how much money one throws at a rds, especially the enclosed ones they still got QC issues. Currently I'm waiting for what will be laid out at the next IWA & Shot 2025.
Haven’t had that issue but 2 of mine scratched badly and one the shake awake stopped working. Just more beta testing. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Hi, thank you for the video, I also purchased one of these and was wondering if you had any issues with the fitment of the optic on the slide? My had a tiny bit of play back and forth and because of that I can’t torque down the mounting screws without the optic going off kilter relative to the slide. Does yours have any play like that?
Typically if the screws bottom out before grabbing the optic then the screws you are using are to long that’s why I ask what firearm you are installing on. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
@@GSquaredTacticalhi again! It’s a p226 extreme with the procut slide. All brand new. Using M4x0.7-9.75mm screws as recommend in the manual. I sort of fixed the issue by cutting really small pieces of paper and using them as shims on the flat side of the optic holder base and that helped! I will have to put some rounds down range to see how it holds up. Just subscribed!
Yeah you shouldn’t need to do that maybe you can order a shim from Sig or if it’s flush mount shorter screws will fix you issue. Go to www.swampfoxoptics.com/ultimate-red-dot-screw-pack and order their optic screw kit. Best investment you’ll make all year. If there isn’t a screw in there you need it doesn’t exist.
Sig sent it back with new glass which is still super easy to scratch. Also had to send another one back because the shake awake won’t work. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Are you using a sig p320 axg Legion With a gas pedal If so, what holster are you using with that? If so I have the same setup, but having troubled finding a holster for it.
I do not carry this gun however I have holstered it, but I do not use kydex holsters. I use the universal holsters from Versacarry and 1791. They are leather and are very forgiving with external attachments. I have literally never had a gun that I was not able to find a leather Versacarry holster that would comfortably carry it without snagging or issues. Thanks for watching and for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
Hey i have a sig p320 axg legion and they fit regular fullsize p320 holsters so you should be fine looking up the regular p320 with a gas petal holster and probably will fit
@ yeah I use to send them back all the time when they had the plastic lens, they would just swap them out. They may swap out the lens on these new ones which I doubt but definitely for the electronic issues. That’s why the turn around time is so quick. If you have to send one back again record the serial number first.
@williammuhammad7415 yeah I compared the serial number on the optic to the original packaging and they are the same so I can only assume they swapped out the glass. I had marked on the box when I was doing the review so I know it was the same box and not a different package the accessories batteries, etc. that came with it was missing from the box so I know it’s the same . Thanks for watching and for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
I hate shake awake. Such a dumb feature. Yeah it’s saves battery but how much battery do you need to save when the batteries run for over a year. Replace the damn battery annually people
Yeah, man, I thought about that probably way too much and probably had way too many conversations with people about it. However, this particular optic is the only one I’ve ever owned in my entire life that the shake awake stopped working or became sporadic. I have owned everything from $90 optics to $800 optics and have never ever had any of them to fail or lose zero except for two different Cylee’s which I did not buy they were sent to me. Our own roughly 10 trijicons in SRO and RMR and none of them have ever failed although I have picked one up after laying on my nightstand for about three months and the battery was dead, but like you said, if you make a habit out of occasionally checking it and changing the battery, it should not be an issue, but that’s also the reason why I will always have cowitnessing iron sights. I probably currently own or have owned 20 different holosun optics that are all solar and shake awake and the oldest one I have is probably about eight years old and it’s only a gun that I carry often and that optic has never had a battery change which I know is stupid on my part, but at some point, it just becomes a curiosity as to how long it will go without needing a battery. So for me, it’s hard to argue with my personal experience, which is that as mentioned already I have owned at least 20 of them and none of them have ever failed me not one time. However, on the flipside of that, I have had relatively good luck with optics in general
Honest reviews are exactly why I'm subscribed to your channel and never miss a video.
Ty sir
No issues with mine yet. Cautiously optimistic.
Man I had to send 2 back one them twice
@ I was sold on the low deck but if this fails I’ll have sig fix it then sell it for something else
It’s an ok optic for me. I bought 3 for the same reason. The look, fit and co-witness

The RMR has a lot of distortion at the edges of the glass.
I have noticed that on some of them I prefer the SRO. Thanks for watching and for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
And blue tint
Dam… the only reason I went with this over the Scs 320 from holosun is because I own the m18

Don’t use the glass cleaner. Use alcohol or the cleaner used to clean eye glasses like Oakley. Also use compressed air.
10/4 thanks for the tip and thanks for watching. Be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
windex?
I use a foaming water based class cleaner. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
@@GSquaredTactical I'll be completely honest, I used windex once for shits and giggles and the glass was beautiful
@perpetualconfusion5885 yeah a good quality glass it isn’t going to matter what you use. Heck I’ve used Hoppes solvent swear I have

Sadly the China made Holosun is about the most solid affordable enclosed optic
Massively disappointed with mine. Purchased with it already mounted on the p365 Fuse. Randomly turns on/on for no reason.
