I miss when Blizzard cared about this game. The effort they were pouring into this game over the first two years was incredible. Genuinely hurts me to watch this video and then look at what OW has become. Now with all of the Blizzard stuff going on, Jeff leaving, and the player base dwindling, who knows what will happen with OW2.
EDIT: I am addicted to OW2.
It's wishful thinking but if Blizzard gets their shit together and does a complete 180 before OW 2 release they're going to stomp the scene cause diablo 4 is coming after.
@@lolpo423 Doubt it, critical people left who were really good at doing their job, with the current leadership were the games are released for the earnings and not for the sake of doing a good game, it will always be bad, that's how it is, it's really profitable but really bad for the consumer, that's why every single company (specially American) it's turning their game into a buggy mess with the promise they will fix it, only few companies care more about giving a good product rather than profit.
@@hector9586 exactly, Blizzard used to be one of those revered small companies that were filled with people that were passionate about games and didn't even think about the potential profit. They started off amazing with some of the best titles of their time but basically all of the people who were passionate and cared less about money and more about the experience are all gone

And while Riot isn't much better, All their recent games have been good releases, and with arcane. I think they are taking over the mantle.

these cinematics are absolutely breathtaking. regardless of where the game is at now and how there has been little to no progress on the transition to OW 2, the amount of heart and soul poured into this game is something to be appreciated. as someone who has been playing this game for 4+ years, i really do hope they figure it out and deliver a great product to the community.

Sometimes I go and watch all these cinematics just to reminiscence on the good ol' days of the game. Back when current Fortnite/Valorant streamers were OW streamers. Back when Surefour, Seagull, Ryujehong, IDDQD, Custa, Taimou, Effect, Dafran and even XQC himself were regarded as gods. Back when youtubers like Stylosa would go patch note by patch note after every update and strat/hero guides from channels like Your Overwatch and Overwatch Central were released on a weekly basis. Back when Jeff was still giving his dev updates and Yule logs. Sad Pepehands.
Can’t forget aimbotcalvin, the OG McCree God. I still remember when I was watching him back in early 2017 and I got a gifted sub in his chat I was so hyped FeelsStrongMan

Dragons gives me chills every time. It’s so good. Easily the best one. Something about the music accompanying the two brothers using the dragons to fight each other is insane.
Similar room, similar hair, Overwatch. Feels like 2019 FeelsStrongMan.

They're still all so good. I kinda wish they'd have made them all into a proper movie with a plot with the existing cinematics featuring as character introductions/narrative progression. It would probably need to be pretty long or two parts though given how many characters and cinematics there are if it was going to be a cohesive plot.
I am literally sobbing. I will never forgive Blizzard for what they done to ruin this game. The amount of heart put into the game will always be appreciated but I just can't cope with what that company is doing to it.

They could have made a netflix series/anthology, would have really boosted the longevity of OW, seems league of legends is having a lot of success with Arcane. The decay of OW is sad.

They really were great. I've watched them countless times. If I want my OW fix but don't want to hop into the game, I just chill and watch a few of these. They could have easily turned this into some sort of show, series or something similar and really had something enjoyable. I honestly don't know why they didn't. Screw OW2, double down on the actual lore and come out with an animated series. I'd pay for that over OW2 at this point PepeLaugh

They could’ve have so many more characters if they focused less on making skins. They also could’ve avoided losing a whole bunch of players if they didn’t nerf loot boxes.

The bulk of skin work has always been out-sourced, the only Blizzard resources they take is from the concept artists. If anything, more skins = more easy funds and therefore more resources to be put else where.

That's the whole reason the game dies is becuz they added too many unbalanced characters. They should've released only one character every year and focused on new maps/events. The only good thing left about overwatch is the skin team. They are always top tier.
These trailers all have an air of sorrow surrounding them now. I remember in 2016 when I first heard of overwatch and had nothing but high hopes for it’s future😔
Acti-Blizz is a horrible company. The OW team is incredible tho. I really wish the game didn’t go in the direction that it did. These cinematics will never NOT give me chills and remind me of what this could’ve been if it all didn’t get fumbled so hard.
I’m still holding onto hope that, once OW2 releases, the community will get a bit of a boost and we’ll go back to getting the occasional update and cinematic.
This makes me want to cry when tracers said, "you'd better be" to Winston. Loved the old days of 24 hr game play switching from tank to dps in the match Any time we wanted. The best never complained yet we were the ones always left to comply. That generation has grown and a lot if us have left. Left the game, left this world and it's sad that this is about to be all we have left of those days. Once a game is gone it's gone forever. Remember COD zombies 1 with all the maps.man
