- I replaced my spoiler and my hood with Carbon Fiber parts, now I am on the hunt to find tasteful updates that will breakup the white a little bit more. I found a new company on IG called Carbon Addons who makes overlays our of 100% Carbon Fiber and well. I am a sucker for good prices and clean looks.

Definitely did exactly what you wanted. Breaks up the larger white area and looks clean, good choice.
So how many times will I say "Clean" in this video? Too many.... I promise. Also, spent about $300 for all these products shipped tot he Lethal Garage.
LethalGarage just plasti dip the white on the side mirrors.. what I did when I got the APR replacements..

LethalGarage lol I know... I suck lol but I can’t wrap to save my life and I couldn’t handle the red lip so I caved. Held up almost a year so far. But could look better wrapped in a gloss black

I've used some plasti dip to help break up colors on my cars before. Could use both in this case.
I like the carbon fiber. I’m not a fan of the partial mirror covers.
Great video Matt. The quality and the craftsmanship on those products looks really awesome it definitely makes the difference on the car.
accents look great and just the right amount.
Personally, not a fan...but these kinds of add-ons are a personal choice. Since you already had the CF hood and spoiler though, as a total package, these make some sense.
Personally i think it looks like garbage.
@@coldcoilinc looks ricey as hell. It's literally sticking shit on top of your current parts. Parts replacement would look better then sticking shit on top of existing parts.
It really does look good blending the carbon fiber from the hood and the spoiler to the rest of the car. I have a black 6th gen so it really wouldn't do anything for mine.
That hood in contrast with the white such a clean look but Since its gutted Go full send, carbon fiber fenders to go with the hood, Trunk & diffuser

I like the look of carbon fiber and have a lot of it on my 2010 camaro ss. But I like more direct replacement carbon fiber parts instead of just covers. Looks good though!
I agree... no one makes them for a 2SS.
Replacements are obviously nicer however for example I got a center console piece for like $60 but a pure carbon fiber replacement piece would be a few hundred.....my point, not everyone has the money for them but I agree they look better

I have ordered quite a bit from this company and they make good fitting, quality carbon fiber gear. In fact I ordered a carbon fiber steering wheel with the LED package. Itll take several more weeks, but I'm excited to see it and get it installed. I'll let you know what I think.
Just note, once you put on that shark fin cover your sat.radio won't work correct anymore..It blocks the signal, I had to take mine off and it was a pain after it was taped on..
The carbon looks high quality but I’d just wrap the mirror caps and door handles black. Unless you replace them completely with a full carbon part.
No one makes a full Carbon part for my model
I used plasti on the engine Bay Area along with doing the bowities a metallic grey. I found the burnt orange color to match the FIFTY edition.
10:00 - "i dunno, what do you guys think...?" A: yes, just wrap the mirror edges in satin/matte black. it will then blend and match the black trim around the windows.
The carbon is definitely good quality.
Idk why no one will make a front shell for the mirrors. Just make it 2 pieces and cover the entire mirror

A friend of mine put the carbon fiber antenna cover on his CAMARO and it made the signal weaker.

I would wrap the top of the door handle to hide that lip, I just can’t get used to it, the white lip on the side mirror doesn’t bother me though.

Unless you're totally anal about it, you hit that area with your fingers/hand every time that you get in your car. Ergo, it is likely designed that way for wear purposes. Carbon fiber is light and strong (especially given its relative weight), but I don't think it is terribly durable to wear (or torsion).
How is the unlock button now? Is it annoying with the cover or works just fine?
It's slowly starting to look like HYPERHAWK's Camaro, still a great look! :)

LethalGarage he has this really sick V6 Camaro here on TH-cam than can hit 10s on the drag strip I believe.
It does make it look better as a break up...does anyone know if there are mirrors with blinkers in them as replacements on 2018 RS 2LT? Irritates me to no end that there are no blinkers to be seen for side-coming traffic.
Why doesn't the APR work? The heaters? I like the pieces, hopefully the clear coat holds up to the UV without yellowing. I think you definitely need to wrap the front part of the mirror with a matte or glass black. In for the giveaway 😂
Carbon Fiber can be expected to do one thing. Discolor....
Have you see full exposed super cars that are 3 years old or older. They turn yellow ;)

I was looking at the APR mirrors and the only thing that bothers me is rock chips because those take a hit even with covers on them. But i think Mat it looks good just hope they hold up when you’re doing 100+ down the track. Oh are you planning on coming to CamaroFest this year?

All this stuff is coming from two Chinese companies, and its on Alibaba. One company is a supplier to mist every manufacturer on this planet. The Camaro interior kits are worth it.
Love carbon fiber just dont like how those pieces all seem to leave the white lip. They dont fully cover what you are trying to cover. But still seem like nice parts
The fort handles I get. If they did cover to edge where you hand goes, you’ll rip them off. The antenna is a disappointment, but something that stands out more on non-dark colors it seems.
The mirrors are the biggest disappointment and I highlight why in my install video

I had $250 worth of CF overlay goodies in my shopping cart. I then read the part where they said they ship everything from the manufacturer which can take like 25 days. No thanks......

Why not just wrap the parts with a carbon fiber pattern?
Because wraps never look as good as the real stuff
It just looks like cheap carbon fiber that is taped onto your existing parts.... because it is and it looks cheap. Personally I like the look of the black wrap like the 1LE. I know the hood and mirrors don't match but it doesn't look like some cheap covers.
The 1LE look is certainly cool, but I am tired of plain black. I went this “cheap” route to see if I liked it. Unfortunately not many companies offer full CF. If they did, I’d would have gone that route.
Its so weird to see people add weight with carbon fiber especially when it doesn't even cover the whole part

You know carbon fiber is the lightest material to add, that’s why spoilers and splitters are often made from it since they are so light

I wouldn't, with the people I know they like to pick on paint and know they would pick the carbon fiber off just to see if it's a real OME.
Not gonna lie, I hate the shells. They look nice, but they are a copout. Also, dollars to donuts they won't hold up well. That double sided tape is sketch city.

@@Lethalgarage sure it can. And they kinda look bad. I mean, sure you could wrap the lip that it'll leave with matte black to blend it, but it will be a 15 footer at best. I am curious to see if they fall off at speed though.
