Two desirable features you didn't mention: it has mineral glass and a screw down back. I appreciate your review, I was suspecting the 24 hour sub-dial couldn't be used as a second time zone; you confirmed that for me. Bit weird re the day/date setting however I do have a day/date Casio and it's a pain to forget which direction does the date but at least once the EF305 is set, you're not going to move it by accident, when the date needs adjusting on months with 30 days. Damn shame there isn't someone out there supplying premium rubber straps for Casio watches. Check out the MDV-106, if you don't know it. I have a pair in different colours, great 200m diver, rotating bezel, let down by the strap.
The solution is thankfully leather or other resin bands, which can be cut to unique lug shapes of all those gazillions of integrated-band watches from the Oughts
Raised my kids with this watch. “Daddy are you buying that? Wow” 🥲 those were the days. I’ve had to replace the strap (strap WILL go bad.), and battery, but still going strong after 20 yrs. The Watch Maker had a strap on hand too! But replacement, although Casio, seemed more cheap than the one it came with.

Good review and it gives me a good idea about the watch. The only question that remains is lume. How is it at night?
