Exactly. The media seems to be the ones butt hurt having been provided an edited photo, making all the fuss and speculating every dumb scenarios under the sun. All because the palace does not share with them every intimate details of their lives. This type of behavior - to feel that they have the right to demand certain things from the royals, will only end up frustrating the media because the royals will never share anything. So the media will end up making up stories or perpetuate conspiracy theories and pass it off as truth.

What is there to forgive? Catherine didn’t smear Vaseline all over the camera lens trying to look youthful like Markle allegedly does with her pictures. Most all of Markle’s photos are “adjusted” by her minion M Harriman. She never photographs her invisible family, so she isn’t aware of the effort required to snap the optimal photo with kids.

Queen Elizabeth perfectly understood how to inform and keep her supporters happy but at the same time maintain her privacy. Look how sick the queen was in her final months and days. She didn't complain or give away her personal medical information, but she did understand the importance of being seen by her concerned public. A two second video head and shoulders chat from Kate telling everyone concerned she was on the mend would have prevented all this speculation and satisfied her fans The End.
What you share is a matter of choice. Catherine decided not to share and that is her perogative.

If Kate wants fans showing up to see her in her gold dress and crown, her and the rest of the royals have to accept, they can't just turn their supporters on and off like a tap. This is what the queen meant in telling Harry, "You can't be half foot in and half out" people who court public support and approval need to acknowledge that people are not all puppets to be manipulated by the royals desires. If the royals want the public to dance to their tune, they are going to have to accept that sometimes they need to pay the piper, and this was one of those times. Any decent person would want to put their adoring public at ease.

Even the men now are also starting to feel it. Why is George Clooney so worshipped? You can't tell me his ability to age handsomely is nothing to do with it. All icons in our society are more loved and adored because of their looks. It's a sad fact that humans are more drawn to beautiful people. I love the photo with beautiful smiles and happy faces. It is just showing the pure love for mother's Day. The princess of Wales has the right to have privacy and edit her photo. It's none of our business.
I am so proud of Princess Catherine. She has survived years of abusive attacks with unwavering service to her people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Realms with quiet grace, great compassion, humour and intelligence.
Princess Catherine made an ordinary human error unfortunately on an international stage with haters and media waiting to set her ablaze. And yet, she did not falter, she bravely stepped into the brimstone and fire, alone, and admitted to her mistake. What absolute courage. She did not blame others, she did not hide from the truth, she did not cower behind the institution. She stood up. I would be terrified. She should be admired for doing the right thing, after an error of judgement. And yet so much unkindness was slung at her, and I am sure she knew it would. She is an example to us all.
This whole incident was because she was thinking of others and wanted to do something nice for THEM. We owe her to stand with her.

As I've stated on websites discussing the very nice photo Prince William took of his beautiful wife and your happy children. It was so kind of all of you to post a photo due to the growing concern the people have had even though we've been told that you have been recovering well (which is exactly what she looks to be doing). This was such a kind gesture so can the "professional" phtotgraphers along with everyone else just appreciate the Wales photo. I don't believe there'e any need for apologies from the Princess for trying to give us the best photo possible while most of us amateur photographer, continue to do our best to learn the retched Photoshop program (just kidding .... kind of 😁). Personally, I thank you and your family for such a happy photo and I wish you a good and relaxing recovery since we will be seeing you 1 to 2 days after Easter.
