- Royal Commentator Josh Rom has told Sky News Australia why Kensington Palace is now under “extra pressure” to show the public “everything is ok”.
The first photograph of Princess of Wales since her abdominal surgery has been recalled by global news agencies amid allegations it was digitally manipulated.
Mr Rom said the photograph has done “nothing to quell” concerns around Princess Catherine’s wellbeing. Kensington Palace is yet to respond to concerns that the photograph may have been altered.
Josh Rom said it was “not a good look” for the Palace, at time there is a stripped back monarchy. The Princess of Wales is not expected to resume public duties until after Easter.

When KP released the photo to news agencies, they violated rules by not disclosing it wasn’t an original; and the distributors (AP, Reuters, Getty and others) have a right to issue a recall to insulate their own organizations from claims of misinformation or any other liability.

The Army had to remove Kate’s name from attending the trooping the colour….some sergeant in the army tried to dispel rumors about her health and defend her by saying she’s on the mend and he’s looking forward to her attending the parade in June. The palace quickly released a statement saying that she wouldn’t be attending as planned! wtf is going on.

As an American I feel unless Catherine was filmed being cut open, then filmed being brought home in her PJ"s hooked up to IV's, nobody would have been satisfied. The photo was taken on a phone by a husband/ father who isn't a professional photographer.

For these major news agencies to pull the photo is a very big deal in the PR world. Any PR professional would have never submitted this photo for distribution. Clearly KP needs to correct course and Princess Catherine deserves so much better than this. I hope our Princess can rest for as long as she needs. I must be dim but I can't figure out what the big deal is. IMO the photo was chosen long before Catherine's surgery from a previous collection to be revealed on Mothers' Day. I think she had some sort of female problem surgery, taking a long time to recover from.
Not all abdominal surgeries are the same. This I know since I’ve had several each of which have taken different lengths of recovery.

From my perspective, it seems unlikely that Catherine herself made the statement. Given her extended absence from public view, it raises questions about who is speaking on her behalf. It’s possible that William, his aides, representatives, or someone else within the palace structure could be behind the statement. Transparency is crucial, and I hope we receive more clarity soon. Additionally, it’s perplexing that a husband would seemingly throw his wife under the bus, especially considering her health challenges and absence from the public eye for the better part of three months. Yep Essentially King has pancreas cancer (Greek News) and William wants to divorce Kate and marry mistress Rose Hanbury (who he has twins with Iris & Oliver Hanbury.... Rose has 8 months pregnant shotgun wedding to 20 year older Mr Hanbury who is a 50s single best friend (ie he's gay) best friend of Charles.) It would be harder to divorce sitting Queen Kate so he has to do it now.

(1) Yes, of course the photo has been majorly manipulated (Vogue Magazine cover face cut/paste?), and in an amateurish way. But given her remarkable absence from the public eye, it suggests:

There’s no doubt the palace knew that people would notice the oddities in this photo. None, whatsoever. The question is why did they make a deliberate point of releasing it. It’s the royal family of the United Kingdom; they have access to the highest quality AI in existence, and if they were trying to pass off a fake as legit, it wouldn’t look like this. The palace _wanted_ people to notice that it was photoshopped, obviously. Why? Charles is doing _nothing_ to rein in Harry and Meghan’s grifting, so is this an attempt to carry water for those two and temporarily take some of the heat off of them?

I really give up on any intelligence or common sense remaining in the world. You could have done a really different piece of investigative research in order to support the woman who is helping you earn your salary by investigating the photo thoroughly (in terms of reasons why a simple family photo might be a tad wonky) and proving everyone wrong.
