This takes me back to the old days when I used to work in the area years ago. My colleagues and I would walk from our office building to this place during our lunch break. They're both legit; none of these two shops is a copycat. They're siblings, and both are from the same family. I believe the original one is in the corner where their father used to work/cook. Now, the kids/siblings opened their own restaurants separately next to each other. The food tasted pretty much the same. Can't tell the difference if you blindfold me. LOL
Over the years I spent a lot of time in various hotels along Suk. Soi 11. It's a nice street for a walking video if you are so inclined. It's been almost a decade since I was there. It's changed a lot.
enjoying your vlogs for a while now Daniel. Keep up the great work. Wondering what is your take on being vegetarian in Bangkok or thailand in general? realistically is it possible? For example no vegetarian options on this menu but I know elsewhere you could get a pad thai noodle with no meat...
I’m so glad you’re watching! Exactly, it is possible to order veg Thai food. Also plenty of veg Indian food, Italian, etc. options as well in Bkk. The city has something for everyone.
@@DanielRambles thanks brother, I figured as much. I just gotta pull the plug and get out there. Had another snow storm few days ago here in Toronto lol. Living vicariously through you haha.

Interesting. I wasn’t sure about the dynamic between the two shops. I’ll have to try the other one!
My dad took me here since I was kid and it's over 40 years ago 😋.
Amazing!
Great spot.

It depends how strict you are, too. Thai food uses fish sauce extensively. Soup bases or stir fry may use bone broth
