Making marinated crab with 2,000g of fire sauce

  • Pour the fire sauce into a box of blue crab
    [Marinated Raw Crab with fire sauce]
    1) Drain the crab's blood and wash it well
    2) Remove the crab's mouth, belly, and leg tips
    3) Add rice wine to 5 bottles of buldak sauce(fire sauce) and boil it
    4) Let the sauce cool down
    5) Turn the trimmed crab upside down in a large container and pour in the cooled sauce
    6) Chop lemon, red pepper, and spicy pepper
    7) Store in the refrigerator for 1-2 days

    1) Open the crab shell and cut the body in half
    2) Add crab meat and intestines to rice and add sesame oil, chives, and yolk to mix well
    3) Put the rice in the crab shell and finish with sesame seeds and radish sprouts
    4) It's really delicious when you wrap rice with seaweed
    5) Boil the udon noodles and rinse them in cold water
    6) Place crab meat and intestines on top of noodles and place an egg of yolk on top
    7) Place chives, minced garlic, and seaweed flakes around the noodles
    8) Season with marinated crab sauce
    9) You can mix it well
    10) Grill the marinated crab with garnish, put it on top, and eat it together
    11) Heaven

    Marinated raw crab is such a delicacy in various cultures, but I live in crab country in the US, and we just don’t eat raw crabs here. So it so unfamiliar to me. I’m curious, what is the texture like? Is it sweet like steamed crabs or is the flavor completely different? It looks wonderful, though.

      It's soft, creamy and cold, nothing like steamed crabs. I really can't explain it but I prefer this over steamed crabs

      It has a jellish texture, the strawberry jelly type (not the firm jelly type). In korea it's popular to marinate the crab in soy-sauce or red pepper paste. It's really delicious so you should try one if you have a chance. Eat the eggs if your crab was caught during the mating season. That's the true delicacy.

Seriously, thank you for the information, since it’s a totally new food for me. And yes, I agree that even with cooked crabs the roe and the fat are so delicious. I wince when I see people scraping it out into the trash bin with the shells.

    꽃게를 톱밥에 파묻으면 자기가 모래 속에 있는줄 알고 산채로 잠듭니다. 산채로 유통이 까다로운 꽃게 특성상 냉장기능이나 물 없이 꽃게를 신선하게 옮기기 좋아서 씻기 귀찮은거 빼면 좋습니다.
