DIY PAPAYA Body Butter EVEN SKIN And LIGHTEN DARK SPOTS
    Formula:
    7 Grams Cocoa Butter
    36 Grams Shea Butter
    60 Grams Papaya Oil
20 Grams Aloe Vera Gel (Store Bought)
1 gram Arrow Root Powder (Substitute 1 gram Cornstarch)
0.05 Grams Astaxanthin (2 drops) Substitute: (2 grams of Seabuckthorn oil)
    2 Grams Vitamin E
    1 Gram Jasmin Perfume Oil
If you live in a hot area, I recommend you use 10 grams of cocoa butter and 57 grams of Papaya oil
How to prepare store bought aloe vera gel: • Make & Preserve ALOE V...
    Astaxanthin is
    - Oily, viscous
    - Dark reddish violet colour and
    - Preservative free
    - Concentration of use (%): 0,01 - 0,05
Astaxanthin oleoresin is a red or dark red oily liquid with a slight algae smell.
It is called the "king of carotenoids" because it is more powerful than most other carotenoids in the family and is known for its many benefits to our skin.
Astaxanthin is an antioxidant and can be applied topically to the skin to improve skin texture and elasticity and reduce age spots.
Research has shown that astaxanthin's ability to fight free radicals are,
🌻6000 times greater than vitamin C
🌻40 times greater than beta-carotene and
🌻550 times greater than vitamin E
    - It increases skin hydration, counteracts skin ageing and protects against oxidative stress
    - Reduces dryness of the skin
    - Prevents sunburn by minimising the harmful effects of UV rays. Astaxanthin can neutralise multiple free radicals at once, protecting your skin and body from oxidation, damage and inflammation
    - It helps slow down the signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots
    - It clears dark spots, dries up acne and prevents acne breakouts.
    - It also gives the skin a smooth feeling by increasing the skin's elasticity and tone
Astaxanthin has been shown to increase circulation, which means it improves blood flow to the skin. Improved blood flow has several benefits, including increased cell turnover, increased elasticity and increased water retention

I appreciate that you cater to making this cream when you are in a hot area. As I live in the tropics, a lot of balms I've made melt so quickly just at room temperature. And because I grow pawpaws (papayas) I am very keen to try this recipe.

I never thought Papaya oil had cold process.
I've doing hot process for over a year.
    Thanks Cecil for this knowledge.
I'm wondering if it really has to sit for 3weeks before blending Cecil?
I do sell it and keeping it for three weeks before grinding is not too good for me.
    Thanks anyway.

    • @cecilvig

Thank you very much. The Ugandan shea butter is of better quality, it feels smooth and velvety on the skin and has a more pleasant scent than the shea butter from Ghana. But if you can't get it, you can definitely use the one you have.
