    Hello, how are you? I have a doubt in the minute 10:47, how do you know that your decomposition it's a binary relation?

    • @allaboutcse
      @allaboutcse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey... It's very simple... A relation which has only two attributes is known as Binary Relation. So all the relations in the decomposition set are binary & thus in BCNF.

      Hi @All About GATE Exam , thanks for answering so fast! I have already watched the video that you have mentioned but i don't know if i have understood correctly the explanation. For example in this exercise, what happen if i start finding the minimal cover which in this case is F = { A -> C; C-> D; D -> E }. I got the same conclusion as you that my decomposition is D = { AC, CD, DE, AB }. But how do you know that it's a binary relation? As you have said (a relation which has only two attributes is known as Binary Relation), but in this case, what are those two attributes. Is it because my superkey is AB? In which case from your video th-cam.com/video/39cMlcze-GM/w-d-xo.html I am in. Third case?

      @@allaboutcse Those 2 attributes are AC and AB from my descomposition?

    • @allaboutcse
      @allaboutcse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dacioalvirac.6117 All relations in the decomposition set D has only two attributes.. for example AC, it has just two attributes A & C, so relation AC is binary relation. Likewise all relations are binary in decomposition set D.
      Hope it gets clear now.

    Why are we doing lossless join here

    • @allaboutcse
      @allaboutcse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because we can not afford the loss of data in any case. We are decomposing the tables so that anomalies can be removed yet it should be decomposed in such a manner that we get all the data whenever we want to join the decomposed tables back in future .

    • @allaboutcse
      @allaboutcse  ปีที่แล้ว

      I hope it's clear, if not ask again exactly where the doubt is... If you are doubtful Abt what is lossless join and all.. go through the decomposition properties th-cam.com/video/1YVr-MmZRU0/w-d-xo.html

    Dear All,
    It has been an unfortunate time since a couple of years, that vacancies are declared, money is received from the candidates and then they are made to feel miserable for the money they paid, for the hard work they did, and the dedication they showed towards their duty of studying.
    Some left their homes, some were unsure about How to repay the loans but somehow managing the Studies, but meanwhile, the Selection Comissions are having a gala time.
    इनके पास हर तरह के बहाने हैं, जैसी स्थिति वैसा बहाना तैयार । कभी exam नहीं होतें हैं तो कभी सालों साल result नहीं आते हैं।
    हमारे समाज में एक तरफ हम बात करते हैं सरकारी नौकरी, ऊँचे पद और रुतबे की, जिसके लिए हम दिन रात मेहनत करते हैं, वहीं दूसरी तरफ ऐसी जगह पर पहुँचे हुए लोगों का जब आज काम देख रहे हैं, तो लगता हैं, हम पहले ही उनसे कितने बेहतर हैं।
    जैसे Railway SSC के रुझान हैं, उन्हे देख कर एक साल में 2 बार CET वाला लॉलीपॉप भी क्यों दिया जा रहा है, कुछ हद तक समझा जा सकता है। क्या CET भी महज एक जरिया है जिस से साल में 2 बार ओर एक बेरोजगार की जेब से पैसा निकाला जायेगा? Selection commisions और बेरोजगारी से लड़ते छात्रो के लिए क्या ये एक और पहेली है जिसमे बस छात्र हाथ में एक certificate पकड़ के उलझा रहेगा?
    We need to stand together in this time, when no media would come for our cause of justice, for the hardwork that we all, teachers as well as students do. There is no politics involved here, yet things are messed up due to negligence of recruitment agencies, biased media and lack of government interest in youth education and employment.
    Today's matter is not just limited to one or two exams, it's about the system. We all are educated, and if we remain silent at this time, then we don't need to find another culprit for what is happening in the recruitment processes.
    "INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS A THREAT TO JUSTICE EVERYWHERE"
    Please tweet, post on FB, insta, and share everywhere so that this matter is addressed ASAP by the government and students get justice.

    Sis how ur saying AB->C is functional dependence bcoz AB is prime attributes which is part of candidate keys and C is non prime attributes then the relation partial dependence?

    • @allaboutcse
      @allaboutcse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Tejeswini S AB->C is a good functional dependency because AB is Candidate key, not only part of key.
      Here you understood it right that A & B are key attributes, only thing you need to understand is they are not only part of candidate key but together they make a candidate key.
      For partial dependency, determinant is only part of candidate key not complete key. I hope you understood... Feel free to ask anymore questions . 👍
