His hesitation about trusting the Russian MOD, as well as Suryak Maps, stems from the false reporting made in the Siversk direction regardingf thye capture of Verkhnokamyanske. THAT was false reporting by ground troops and their commander. he's simply being super cautious.

As Wyatt said, their accuracy is only as reliable as the reports field commanders send them. Even with best effort how would a field officer know his enemy's casualty and equipment losses with greater than 75% accuracy?

So, technically, by fighting in (already liberated) Selidove, they're focusing on Pokrovsk. Plus they're also gaining territories in the western flank of the Pokrovsk offensive (aka. directly towards Myrnograd and Pokrovsk)

You should be skeptical about what either MOD is saying. This is common sense.
I too am skeptical of the Russian Defense Ministry's reports. But to believe the reports of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry is to be insane.
