There is an app. Called gps field area measure that is great for measuring sq ft On your phone/tablet just plug in address and you can measure sq ft by sections. It took me a minute of messing with it to get it down pat, I highly recommend it because you can give real time estimates without going to location under normal conditions.

The point of him telling you this about bagging it up is in case you have weeds in your preferred grass growing areas. Good for you if you have someone moving your lawn. No worries there, but if you have a good bit of weeds in your lawn, like mine, all that you are doing is spreading the weed seeds around the lawn, without the bagging up of the weed seeds especially in the spring.
I just brought a house in SC that has a yard full of weeds with centipede grass... how easy would it be to turn my lawn over to a bremuda grass lawn and would the bremuda grass actually over take the centipede grass that already exists in the yard. thanks again and love the videos

The builder poorly landscaped and put down Bermuda. I knew nothing about Bermuda grass, clay soils or southern lawns in general. From Illinois and used to Kentucky Blue. Before coming across your site, I laid down some Bayer 3 n 1 fertilizer the beginning of April, and today I dropped down some Milorganite. I cut twice a week @ 2 inches with my trusty Troybuilt model 240. I'm planning on dethatching in a week or so, and want to know what do you think is best a thatching rake or blade? Appreciate all of your videos and any help, as I want to Crush thy Neighborhood!!

Kountrytimes LLC you may just need to rent a power rake from home depot, now I don’t know exactly how bad it is. Over seeding on a lawn with a thatch problem may not solve the problem. Are there trees 🌲 blocking the sunlight?
Kountrytimes LLC just know it’s gonna be some work. Once you power rake it you’ll need to remove all debris by raking up or bagging. The yard will be ugly, you’ll feel like you made a big mistake, even after you do it and it rains you’ll have thatch clumps you’ll need to get up. You may not get full recovery this season also . Make sure to get soil tested by your county extension office, takes about 10 days to get results. The soil test results will tell you exactly what you’ll need to add to lawn to get success. Now this is not going to be an over night success story.
Hmmmm...because the weather in Georgia is soooo poor, it's EXTREMELY challenging and expensive to maintain beautiful, thick, dark green lawns, in esp., without a lawn service...bad.
Not because the weather is so poor its because it is in the transition zone. Cold winters and hot summers. Warm season grasses goes dormant in the winter and cool season grasses suffer in the summer.

Bermuda Grass Central I got my soil test and pH is 6.5, nitrogen is very low, phosphorus and potassium are at normal levels. I know what amount they recommend is there a brand fertilizer would you recommend .
Neal Ginn my go to has always been Lesco brand, why? Because it’s a slow release formula, good to prevent surge growth. But what ever you decide try for slow release formula👍🏾

I grew up in Bermuda. I've lived in every home with grass. This is NOT Bermuda Grass from Island Bermuda. Don't know whose idea it was to start calling this Bermuda Grass.
Cynodon dactylon (aka Bemudagrass) was native to tropical Africa. It was believed to be introduced accidentally to the Caribbean from seeds that tagged along the trans-Atlantic slave trade. As those slaves were then sold to South, Central, and North America; the seeds came along and the resulting grasses were associated with where the slaves had come from (Bermuda, Bahama, etc). The fact that this grass is an invasive species in those places was not known to the people of the 17 Century. This species of grass is now found all over the world.

I need to have the lawn clippings bagged up? I have a service that comes every two weeks. They cut it so it doesn’t need to be collected.

Do you like to use tenacity? That would kill your los annual and your crabgrass
Tenacity is good but should not be applied to actively growing BermudaGrass.
