I like Jerry. He's just so chill. Takes his craft seriously, but let's the little stuff slide. Cool dude!

A bad day at the range is better than a good day in the office.

good series and only just found it, but why do they always say "the best shooters on earth" no they are the best in the US.

      HotShotsTV lol you'd think so

No disrespect, but it did not look anything close to a downpour, so I'm not understanding why Flanigan cannot practice in a little rain... all that intense conditioning and he cannot get a little wet? A shooting tarp with some 10' poles on the shooting side is fairly easily setup and cheap, so this attitude was really confusing. Sounds like this "reality" show is once using the typical History Channel style injected drama of self created obstacles (ala "Mountain Men"). Sure do like Jerry Miculek - what a great shooter!

lastdaysguitar Throwing clay targets 30 feet into the air while having ANY amount of rain pelting you in the face doesn't sound like much fun to us!

HotShotsTV I suppose its a different generation of shooters that have to have dry weather to shoot, old duck hunters don't care about a few raindrops. I wouldn't have mentioned this if Flanagan didn't build himself up to be such a superhero and so "intense" and "extreme" in his training.

lastdaysguitar Plus the rain would mess up my hair and makeup! On a serious note however, I am not going to put myself, camera crew or anyone else in danger by trying to demonstrate how "intense" and "extreme" I can be by shooting in thunderstorm. Safety first!
Unlike duck hunting my shotguns are being handled in a very untraditional manner and after fifteen years of entertaining this sport I know when and when not to push it and the safety of others comes before me proving how intense I can be about it.
I would invite you and all your old duck hunting buddies to come up to WI or SD during our late season and join me in cutting ice and for a negative 20 degree day of duck hunting. Maybe that will be a little more "extreme"

xtremeshooter Hey thanks for the reply and the point about the crew and the cameras is a very good one that I did not consider, I am a lifelong native of MN and do cold weather camping with no fire (other than the occasional Kelly Kettle lit up) so the -20 is not a problem for me, actually with the right gear (open cell polyurethane wear like Northern Outfitters and Aeris/Fortress Clothing) -20 is plenty comfortable. It would be a real treat seeing you hunt!

Hey buddy, I am always down for a duck hunt! Thanks for the message!
