Morning Paul. Nice shave today. I have the Parker Semi Slant razor and I just love it. I it give a great shave. I use it often. I do the same with my Gillette Slim adjustable, starting off at a higher number and coming down on each pass. The music was not annoying to me, not to worry. Mrs. H again did a fine job on her flower arrangement. Enjoy your Sunday evening meal.
Happy Sunday Paul! Yes, a day late...sorry. I love the Red and Yellow roses, many thanks Mrs. H!! My TOBS Coconut shave cream has gone a bit hard too...hot water sorts it out well enough. Are those Gillette Super Thin blade Stainless? I have the Gillette Thin blades...those are vintage carbon steel. SOTD: King C Gillette razor loaded with a Brazilian Gillette Platinum Plus blade (8th use). 1960's Williams Tonsorial shaving soaplets lathered with a Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic. The shaving soaplets are made for a barber's lather machine, but 1/4 teaspoon of soaplets and add 3/4 teaspoon of very hot water...plus added a bit more to the lather and the reward is very dense and creamy. traditional 3 pass plus pick-up shave. Finished with cold water. My face was uber smooth! No need in aftershave today. Those products produced a good shave for you Paul. I heard you are under house arrest....that is how the media put it...I pray this virus panic lessens soon. Yes, precautions need to in place to protect the vulnerable...yet people need to thrive too. Please stay health and well. Take care, both the Mrs. and you. Cheers.

Paul, Another awesome shave, as usual! Do not feel the need to apologize for the music running over your verbal intro, as you are human, and I simply wanted you to be aware of it. I am grateful for the learnings from your videos, whether it's on techniques or new products being introduced to your viewers. And please say thanks to Mrs. H. for her wonderful flower arrangements, always well balanced and nice on the eyes. I also enjoy your classical music intros. Have an awesome beginning of the week, STAY SAFE & TAKE CARE! Regards, Alain (Montreal, Canada)

You are great Paul - a beacon of hope in this time of crisis! Love Mrs H's flowers at the beginning of the reel. She's obviously a sophisticated bird with plenty of taste - excellent choice in music too. In fact - will we ever be lucky enough to have a guest appearance???
Arko soap, Edwin jagger d89, Dorka Blue Stainless steel blade,Yaqi 24 shaving brush, Alum block, Pinaud original aftershave, And lashings of Bull dog sensitive moisturizer. Fabulous. Nicely done Paul💈💈 The Variant is a formidable player in the game, not too expensive and one heck of a shaver, the only Parker I have now. I colored in the numbers and adjustment dot with a contrasting enamel paint, much easier to see on the gunmetal version I have. TOBS creams are incredible IMO, never had one turn on me yet. Look at those roses, just beautiful thanks to Mrs H. SOTD: PAA Banana Cube, Tallow & Steel "Maya" soap/splash, PAA "Peregrino" synth brush, Rockwell 6C #4 w/Supermax Super Platinum blade #3, alum, Thayers witch hazel and AV 5 in 1 balm...BBS BABY👍 Great video and chat as always, thanks. Very nice vid. My sotd was using a Parker 96R with a Wilkerson Sword blade. With cello soap and Gillette cool wave after shave. I like the Parker but I find the butterfly opens at times during the shave if I'm not careful. Been thinking of a Rockwell 6c or 6s. Stay safe out there Paul

Entertaining and informal shave as usual. Just cannot go wrong with any of those tried & true veteran products. Due to inconsistent QC, usually my Parker razors only get called upon for duty when my daily drivers are in the shop for maintenance, but the Variant is Parker's best imo. I do agree, we all need to slow down, quite significantly, and enjoy each day for what it's worth. As you are probably aware of, Wisconsin is getting another unwelcomed cameo appearance of Covid, as is Great Britain from the news I've gathered. Stay safe, be well and hopefully there are many more great shaves ahead of us all.
SOTD musgo real cream (not seen u use for a while) muhle r41 with nacet blade, boots teat tree and whitchazel bull dog moisturiser and TOBS jermyn aftershave inspired by your shave. One of my favourites a slightly feminine but mascuuline scent if u can rock it. I ran out of the cream a while back but will replace. MOTD home made KFC with sweet potato wedges, corn on the cob, guacamole and coleslaw. A perfect Sunday. See you Wednesday.
Amazing shave Paul, today arrives my 4th tobs cream, eton college, I have grapefruit, almond and st james, love their products as my daily shave cream in rotation with proraso and crabtree and evelyn hard soaps

For new shavers... TOBS started in 1854.. Consider getting their sampler set.. Their soap/creams are so good, I used up, even the scents I didn't prefer..
Hi Paul love the vids thanks. I always cold water shave and use an arko shave stick squashed Down to soften hair lots of lather with cold water, then I use a dab of 3p pre post shave cream, 3p shave cream wonderful stuff I hope you do a vid with it lovely soft croap. Interesting that an 8-year-old hardened cream can be brought back to life. Your lather "looked" as creamy and thick as any other cream I've seen. So, now I won't worry about using my creams even if they harden. Thanks for the tip. My SOTD was Noxzema classic clean for pre-shave, Stirling soap face lather, Vikings Blade Emperor at settings 5-3-1, and a Voskhod blade (1st use). Post-shave was an alum block, Dickinson's plain witch hazel, and Proraso green aftershave and balm. A comfortable, close BBS shave for once 😉 Enjoy your MOTD. Take care and stay well.
Great shave. My SOTD is gonna be of the King C Gillette head on the Maggards MR14 handle with a Gillette Platinum blade, the Razorock XXX soap, Aqua Velva Musk and the Nivea Post Shave Balm. No more Proraso shaves for now as I received a set of various artisan soaps to use along with a new to me Maggards razor. I can’t wait to use that stuff in my upcoming shaves

you can"t go wrong with Taylor of Old Bond Street products ! Paul , how would You say the Parker Variant is to the Mekur Futur ? I love My Futur but I'm thinking about getting a Variant . Thanks in advance !! stay safe
Love this shave I just got a St James Shave Stick. I had both samples of that and Jermyn Street and decided to get that one first. But I’m going to get the Jermyn Street in the Hard Soap I think
Great Shave Paul.. Lovely rose's Mrs H thank you. Love the TOBS creams. Been trying to get that aftershave but I don't think they do it anymore?. Have a great rest of the week mate, see you soon. And check your phone, I have sent you a message. Stay safe;-)
Great Shave Paul! Love your videos! In your opinion, what's the best TOBS for sensitive/dry skin: Jermyn Street Collection or Avocado? Many thanks. Have a good Sunday! 🙂👍
@@migacho I have that too. The smell is floral and quiet mild and it's a really slick soap (probably the slickest I ever tried) . It also outlasts any shaving cream. However from what I've read, some people are allergic to it (mainly to lanolin) and also find it quiet hard too lather. So if you want a safe bet, I will probably go with the Taylor Organic shaving cream. On a second thought there is also DR Harris. They make fantastic hard soaps.
Hey Paul, it would be good to consider making an account on twitch, so that the videos could also be broadcast live or even broadcast live TH-cam. Cheers, Peter
“A comfortable aggression “. Is an excellent at to describe the Variant.. I noticed too when I first got mine that the feed back was loud and very efficient and smooth and of course being comfortable!!! Gets all the hair baby!!!
I’m going to use the Mikes Natural Barbershop I just got in my last order! Been wanting to try this this I first got into Traditional WetShaving believe it or not!!! The Razor on deck is my RazoRock SLOC
No thank you for taking the time to make the video. S.O.T.D. St James Collection big fan, D.E.89, Feather blade, Calvin Klein Eternity, Thinking of treating myself to DR Harris Windsor any suggestions of a quality soap would be greatly appreciated. Keep well and keep safe to you both. PS Abbotts ale good choice I don't drink a lot so I do like a good one when I do.
I think you were a bit hard on yourself over the audio glitch in the last video. Such stuff happens every once in a while. I can't recall the last time you had a truly noticeable error but in any case. I didn't complain then I won't complain about things in the future.
Yeah I’m going Quad and Dirt bike riding today. After this time I think I’m going to put them away till the late spring. It’s starting to really cool down here in the South Jersey 🏍 😁🤘🏻 💈😁✌🏻💈 ~Mike Rose 🌹~
Badger brush...poor choice. The Executive Shaving Co. no longer sells badger brushes after learning how cruelly they are made in China with no regulations. Also, they are not by-products of food. I'm not a member of PETA or even agree with all that they stand for. I have some excellent synthetics that provide great lather and shave and hopefully off for a good day.
Excellent video Paul. Very nice flowers Mrs H. Stay safe.
All the best.

Great Shave Paul! Love your videos! In your opinion, what's the best TOBS for sensitive/dry skin: Jermyn Street Collection or Avocado? Many thanks. Have a good Sunday! 🙂👍
TOBS Organic (Scentless) or TOBS Jermyn street. The rest are full of preservatives (avocado, coconut etc)
@@duncanidaho7494 Thank you very much for the advice! 👍

Is Mitchell's Wool Fat a better choice for dry skin? Thank you
@@migacho I have that too.
Cheers,
Peter
“A comfortable aggression “. Is an excellent at to describe the Variant.. I noticed too when I first got mine that the feed back was loud and very efficient and smooth and of course being comfortable!!! Gets all the hair baby!!!
To quote Ol’ Red...The world went and got itself in a big damn hurry😂
how did you take apart the variant?
I would like to know too as my numbers don't work anymore :(
It's a two piece razor. You unscrew the knob at the end of the handle and the cap comes off. They're excellent shavers.
Paul,
Nice video as always.
Is it possible small video about oiling to variant... Like your Scented Witch Hazel video
Thank you
I’m going to use the Mikes Natural Barbershop I just got in my last order! Been wanting to try this this I first got into Traditional WetShaving believe it or not!!! The Razor on deck is my RazoRock SLOC
I think you should do a cooking video..
I don't always recognize sarcasm; if this is sarcastic. The link to his cooking channel is provided, along with the other links.
@@OG_Jack hello mate no not being sarcastic sorry if it came across that way, that's great didn't realize he had that channel thanks alot
Nice video Paul! I would like to send you some products from South Africa, but I need your adress please. Regards Johann Els.
That lotion is so thick Paul but not made for the face ..
I think you were a bit hard on yourself over the audio glitch in the last video. Such stuff happens every once in a while. I can't recall the last time you had a truly noticeable error but in any case. I didn't complain then I won't complain about things in the future.
👍
What a thin lather Paul..
Yeah I’m going Quad and Dirt bike riding today. After this time I think I’m going to put them away till the late spring. It’s starting to really cool down here in the South Jersey

Are you doing no fap vember.
I still think St James and Jermyn Street have very similar scents
