    I really like all the things you do - especially the buggy. It reminds me of the 1000RR sand rail I built almost 10 years ago - still running it every year at St. Anthony sand dunes. Thank you for keeping the content clean (language, etc.)

    What are the measurements of this buggy? Seems like 9 feet long by 6 feet wide (outsize tire to outside). A close estimate for weight is take the diameter and thickness of all the tubing and add it all up, then use a steel specs sheet that has the weight per foot and that'll get you close to where you are at frame wise. Awesome job on this. Hope in the next couple years I'll be able to make it to a meetup for trail riding.

  • @user-neo71665
    @user-neo71665 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Those tires are pretty good in soupy stuff but after running a set on my 4 wheeler I'll warn ya they will wear really really fast if you run them much on pavement and rocky trails. I ended up swapping my ITPs out to GBC dirt devils and so far (6 months) they wear better. Haven't seen any decreased performance in mud or loose stuff either.

    Making me nervous having your spindles and heims not covered while you're welding around them...one little piece of slag sticks to either one and that component will wear out way quicker than it should. Remember, always wrap it before you zap it...

    • @airbossjrd
      @airbossjrd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ratherbwelding will destroy that buggy that engine has 117 hp stock with gears RB is 22 hp maybe be with mods under 40 hp turbo and super charger only add maybe 40%hp if done right on gasoline .then you must consider hp per lb,So if you cant get 5 to 7 hp per lb you will trade speed for torque just a fact.

    • @ratedredneck96
      @ratedredneck96 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@airbossjrd hes doing way more than just a turbo and red beards is way lighter than ratherbweldings buggy. And if you read my comment i never mentioned performance once, i said red beards looks way better which it does. Its smaller, probably will be way more nimble and agile where its got a smaller wheelbase which would make it perform better. But you cant say factually that rathers would be faster at all not knowing weight, whether the 1000 motor is tuned correctly to get the peak power out of it. Red beards buggy would be pushing out a lot of power and being lighter, even with a 260 pound red beard its still probably a lighter overall weight than ratherbweldings beetle lookin thing.
