Jebao SLW-20 Unboxing, Taking Apart and Initial Review

I needed a solid pump for my new 20 gallon frag tank. I decided to go with the Jebao SLW-20. Hopefully I can give you some ideas as to if this is the pump for you. I think it is a solid pump for the money. I recommend not adding on the angle piece since it will drastically reduce the flow. Let's see how long this pump lasts! There will be a long term review in the future.

My sps loves these pump since it is a wide flow so you can do direct flow right on them. I have the 10 and it is plenty for my IM25 lagoon and it takes a few minutes to clean, I leave the magnet in the tank, just take it out and scrub it down. You do have to clean it more often than an AI though.

Jebao pumps are great. SLW-20 too big for 20 long. 2x slw-20. One back corner low, one opposite side on side panel and high. Pulse mode at different cycle rates.

So far the SLW-20 is just right for my 20 gallon long. I like else so it’s never at the full ramp for long. It’s at about 80% intensity at max and cycles through the intensity. I think these would be perfect for a back glass type of pump flow

Can you place the cable part underwater? (Planning to hook it up to the back sump of a nano)

I’m not sure I understand. Yes. The cable goes in the water with the pump. There are 2 magnets. One for the outside and 1 for the inside. The pump fits on the inside magnet

Would the slw-30 be good for 12mm glass you think?

Yeah if the magnet is slightly thicker I think it would be fine. I have 19 mm and I wouldn’t trust the 20 on it. But 12 is much thinner than 19

I just got a slw-30 doesn’t work on my 12mm glass. Slides right off. The magnet is weak

Exactement le même problème que vous pour l aimant et impossible d installer le wifi , je regrette d'avoir pris le modèle wifi , du coup impossible d accéder aux paramètres, elle fonctionne mais sans pouvoir modifier, c'est inadmissible, je suis pas content vu le prix ! J ai un 120 de longueur, et sur son mode actuel n'atteint pas le bout de l aquarium pourtant dégager . Par contre le flux est large .

Yeah for sure. 2 of them should easily do a mixed reef tank.
