Hi, now listen elder, I like having fun just as much as the next guy, but life is different know, we have to prove that we are worthy, to prove that we are worthy of everything Heavenly Father has promised us, in the afterlife
You definitely should let Broadway know in this comedy that doesn’t take the religion seriously at all! I have lots of Mormon friends, and they have mixed feelings about the show. I’m really sorry if this upset you, I do not personally have anything against the faith and I wish you the best! Thanks for watching!
@@JRPrice huh, amazed you actually responded… anyway, I’m making that comment for anyone who’s ignorant enough to not realize the entire musical is pretty much joking about the church. (Yes, I’ve had people see this musical, tell me that this entire thing is hard fact and totally serious, and we’re ready to die on that hill.)
@@campbellhansen7533 omg! You know I believe there are people that do… people believe everything… but I’m glad people are setting them straight. You know this was written in the early 00s. By the South Park producers… it’s very much making fun of cultures and not PC for today’s outlook… I am actually very very happy to see your comment, because it reminded me, while we have so much further to go, we have really come a long way in the last decade too. These jokes aren’t it anymore… but it’s still a top grossing show, because it is satire comedy. And the show actually does give Mormons funding and support. They actually run the mormon ads in the program! So maybe the higher ups know, and like the exposure? Idk. I just know, I am playing a character of fiction in this video and didn’t want anyone to think these were my beliefs! Stay strong and keep breaking down doors babe!
@@JRPrice well, funny enough, the lds (btw, we do prefer lds over Mormon) prophets actually loves the musical. The creators of South Park openly state they love the church, just don’t agree with it. Frankly, most of the church agrees it’s just a funny show. The point of my comments on vids about it, is simply to remind that like 1% of viewers who take it seriously.
This is so funny and the music is.. beautiful - as good as any of the classic broadway shows of Rogers and Hammerstein, Amazing. I hope they do a cleaned up PG version to perform "The Book of Mormon" in Temple Square to little LDS Children who will sing along with these great songs. God bless.

Gasp
The afterlifeeeee
Nice voices but the blocking needed major work
Amber Adams agreed
I mean the voices and elder cuminham were fine but this doesn’t give the same magic I’ve seen other versions give
But mostly MEEEEE
0:40 thank goodness that hasn’t been true for remotely populated missions, for more than 70 years now.

@@campbellhansen7533 There is also a South Park episode "all about Mormons". You should watch it.
Ink Potts brought me here

I didn't realize they put in the conceited missionary so true
The guy who plays Kevin sounds like Kevin from sponge Bob
Yo is that Peter Griffin?
Not a good elder price
+Mr135Jonathan canny hit the notes.
I don’t think it was the singing I think it was the personality and the voice tbh
You're kidding.
