Man, I love this. I did Leadville this year because of this series--I went from two hip surgeries and never having done a mountain bike race to a year of dedicated training and a belt buckle!
As an avid cyclist, I'm pretty numb to the idea that some of these things are challenges so I start this series every year with a level of jaded indifference. Then we get to the last episode and you break me down EVERY SINGLE TIME. The experience is very similar whether you're first or last finisher. It's hard. You're out there long enough to have periods where you don't feel great and doubt yourself. Then things come around and you catch a second or third wind. We're all trying our best, we're just doing it at different speeds. What matters is pushing yourself and not giving up. Kudos to all the riders.
Brandi Lee’s “Lfg” after the last aid gave me goosebumps… and Kristin finding the turbo boosters in the end like that was friggin electric… my fire is now lit to get after it next season. Did not expect to be happy crying on this Friday morning but here we are😂 you all are badasses!
This series came out at the correct time!! I’m currently in the recliner for 12 weeks after a bad crash while training for an xc race!! As a 50yr old, I’ve been struggling with giving up biking. Rich was a true motivation of encouragement to keep riding!!🤘🤘
I am a long time cross country and endurance mountain bike racer, and the riders in this challenge are more inspiring than anything I’ve seen. Riders with all kinds of challenges. Just an awesome group of people and a great video. Thanks for making my day and inspiring me to keep on pedaling. Let’s Fn Go!!!!!
What a great accomplishment for all of these participants. They all conquered so many emotional and physical obstacles on a very grueling ride for even the fittest cyclists. I'm a cyclist of 40 years and at 72 still enjoy riding and know how difficult the ride must have been for them. They each had a warrior mentality defeating many nasty demons each mile. Prayers for continued success!
I love this... We always have the opportunity to write a better story ....to choose to do and believe in yourself... This is heartwarming and inspiring....thank you all...
I have followed every season of this series and this current edition did not disappoint. Congratulations to the creators and editors for a truly special set of videos. Massive congratulations, respect and kudos to the participants, you are truly legends! You are the inspiration and the role models that we should be holding up to ourselves!
Way2go everyone. Way 2 stay tough Kristen! I broke my femur 100 yards from the finish at Iceman this year (still finished) , and I swore I wasn’t doing another race but after watching this and seeing the no quit attitude I’ll think I’ll jump on the bike as soon as I can. Thank you for the motivation and inspiration!!!
Damn that was a good deal more emotional than I expected. So happy for all four to go way past what they thought was possible. That's what it's all about!
Damn! Inspirational. What a great season. Well done. I've been waffling on signing up for the Lead Challenge in Leadville and this may have just tipped the scales. 👏
This years went a lot better than last year. 3 out of 4 finishing is great. I know a lot of people had issues with last years when none of the riders made the time cutoff for Columbine that they chose too difficult of an event for a beginner with 6 months of training.

I love this video because it's about the everyday folks, not just the elite.
