    Erin, this was a fantastic tutorial, so well explained and it works perfectly. Do you have any tutorial on how to create section breaks and different headers/footers per section?
    Thank you for this 🥰

      I really appreciate your kind words! I do have an older tutorial about adding headers and footers on specific pages by using section breaks: th-cam.com/video/Ee6HGuTc8cQ/w-d-xo.html. I hope you find it helpful!

    Thank you Erin! Do you have any tips how to make the background image cover the whole page in the Word online app? When opening a document in Word online, the header and footer appears white.

    Is there a way to lock the full page background image with no transparency/washout image? Need to have different full page background images on each page. Thanks!

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching! Can you share a bit more about what you mean by no transparency/washout? All images placed in the background look washed out while working in the text layer above but will have the transparency level you set when viewed in the print preview.

      @@lisa83118 Using 2019, it should definitely appear in the Adjust group in the Picture Format tab. If your ribbon has been customized, you can right-click the ribbon to open the Customize the Ribbon dialog box, where you can add that tool back. @@lisa83118 On my computer, I can right click the picture and select Format Picture. A menu will appear on the right side and under the last little tab in that section is a Picture Transparency section with presets and a slide for custom transparency.

    how to do that in webpage lay out?

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a great question! Unfortunately, it is only possible to insert the full-page background image while in Print Layout view because the image has to be a specific page dimension, which the Web Layout view doesn't offer. Thank you for watching!

    This is fine... but this is not a real "background" in the sense that I can click on and move the image.
    Has anyone found a way to make the image unclickable or moveable? I'm trying to make an image background on the first page for a document for my team and this step is one I haven't found a solution for.

      Click the header area then insert an picture, resize it and then click outside the page to close the header edit option

  • @Warbaman
    @Warbaman 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    This isnt making a background, this is just inserting an image. To insert a background image you go to : Page Layout - Page Color - Fill Effect - Picture. The reason i am here is im looking to find out why when placing a 29.7x21 picture on a 29.7x21 page doesnt make the image the right size.

    How to remove??

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! If you have followed the steps to insert the image in the header, double-click in the header area to open it, click near the edge of the page to select the image rather than the header text (if the Picture Format tab appears, you will know the image is selected), and then select the Delete button on your keyboard. I wish you all the best with your Word project!

    5 minutes for something that could be said in 30 seconds. And not correct on top. Crap videos like that should be banned from youtube. Bu the least we can do is downvote.
