Thank you guys for the video! I could tell a story from my past for each point.. And the one I learnt from the most is to NEVER try to help / motivate / improve another person and their life. I have always seen my relationships as a work of both sides, but, while I was looking for opportunities, creating things and accomplishing my goals, my partner was always dragging me back with whining and complaints about how I get everything easily and how I was just born in a right place (slash family, environment, country, society, etc). Feeling guilty I would look for opportunities for them as wellm find them job offers, praise their talent and open their eyes to their full potential. But they still CHOSE to complain and do nothing. Then I learnt that a person can be helped (saved) only if he wants to be helped (saved).
1. It's not worth it to have so many material possessions if they will only be used to show off. 2. Other people's problems, it's okay to help once or twice, but more than that is just being dumb. Only help those who are really helping themselves. 3. Being so hard on yourself when you're aiming for a goal. Most ideas come in when we're relaxed

There's one thing I'd like to put light on that I have learned it the hard way and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one: 'Thinking that all other people are stupid.' Its like, thinking that, its not worth it to engage with other people because they think differently, or of different class than you or they're just boring. I did this when I was in my teens and I highly recommend against it I do understand that some people are just disappointment, boring, or sometimes just a straight bully. Fear of change is a huge one that I’ve always noticed throughout my life. Many people are even too scared to move out of their home city or don’t leave their county for most of their lives.
One of the most important aspects of your video was hanging around others that you don't care to be around that are counterproductive and others who are in their family if you're in a relationship with someone do not realize the mental and emotional drain it takes to accommodate people that you do not care to be around that are counterproductive and less than contributing members of society

I have to assume you mean high school and not college because most people in college are there for a reason otherwise its a huge waste of money. I want to tell you to WORK YOUR BUTT OFF in high school. Get the best dang grades you can get. If your parents don't pay you for grades, mine didn't, please find some other motivation. I didn't do well in high school, I hated school. The best part about my high school was all the pretty girls there. My parents were happy that I passed with at least a C, which is pretty easy to get. But I am 49 now and I wish I had worked harder. Do well in high school and maybe you can get a scholarship to go to college, or a trade school, then in those places you can study what you want. And you need to pick something that will pay you; business, doctor, lawyer, engineer, mechanic and so on. I went to college, but I didn't get a 4 year degree, I couldn't get financial aid and got disillusioned and dropped out before I could study anything specific. My life is OK, I have a job that I like, thank God; but I know I coulda gone a lot further if I had more motivation and a more competitive spirit. Another thing, FALL IN LOVE WITH WINNING!!! Make everything a competition and try to win all of them. Getting paid for grades from your folks is a way to do that. School is not a waste, it's a test; but most kids don't know that until much much later in life when it's too late to go back. Good luck to you.

Yup when I traveled abroad especially the more hostile countries, I learned to not talk about 2 things. Religion and politics. Every time I opened my mouth about it people get aggressive and force their point of view onto you. Some times getting in your face.
So much sense and wisdom in this video, I love it! I agree with all these points and am really into stoicism! I've always viewed celebrity gossip (and gossip in general) as a very tedious waste of time. Ideas and eternal/universal (as well as paradoxical and unanswerable) truths are what interest me! I only heard of that Kardashian show about 2 or 3 years ago!! Addiction is a very tough one, as it is a disease that is mainly out of one's control. To most people, even the addicts themselves, its obvious that the risks to one's health and life aren't worth it, but most addicts are so depressed and unhappy in life that they've pretty much given up on themselves and the world, so the risks they take in consuming their drug of choice don't matter to them. They are simply relying on that drug to get them through each day, though paradoxically its making it so much worse. I've always adamantly believed that there are certain areas in life where you have to grow up and be responsible and others where you should very much remain in touch with your inner child! Most people think that growing up means taking yourself (too) seriously and acting as an adult in every moment and area of life, but truly growing up is knowing when you must be an adult and when you should let your inner-child out to play!
Thank you so much for all the inspirational videos. They have been making a very positive difference in my life and finally I have stopped caring about worthless things and people in my life for good now.

Numbers 6, 8, 13, and 15, and 16 make plenty of sense, and are valuable for most people who are on a successful path. Therefore, you go on your own road of success.
“You can ring my bell, ring my bell”. Great video Alux. Wish you were around thirty years ago. I’m too old to incorporate your advice now but I’m passing it on to my grandchildren. And I’m going to purchase one of your shirts too. Keep up the great motivational videos.

This is a thought provoking video. With respect to Diderot; many of us are guilty of over purchasing for stuff we “think” we need. The wisdom of your message has further importance on referring to our environmental impact on nature. We need more awareness of these issues between consumption and environmental degradation.
I really appreciated this video. I agreed with all of these and I know alot of ppl that need to trim some of this fat, including myself. But i think one you were missing was waiting around for ppl to change or admit their mistakes, or just waiting for ppl to come back into your life like old friends or exes. Ppl move on quicker then you would like and missy likely aren't thinking about u the way you are with them. Its also not worth putting energy into constantly helping someonethat does nothing for you in return just cuz it's "in your nature" or cuz you're "a good person". Every time you spend helping someone with their problems takes time away from your own self development, especially if you never benefit from these ppl on any occasion.
I've seen more people destroyed by drugs, alcohol and shitty marriages than anything else. They're dead inside. Living a life of routine and disappointment. Very sad. If you want to be successful, stay single for as long as you can.
You have good stuff. Don't let TH-cam or any other social media stuff stop you. TH-cam is bringing down everyone, and they are now known as the hate mongers who want to destroy life. There are other ways you can do this. Stay alive, we love you.
My advice would be, to change all the things in your life which make you unhappy ASAP....I currently live in Malta and I always wanted to leave the country (shitty country, corruption everywhere, small, overpopulated, and nothing works normally in the country - it is literally like a concrete jungle)....I am now stuck and it is harder each day to leave....so that is my advice, take the leap....asap!! because if you don't, it gets harder each day....and if you don't, regret will start killing you on the inside...you will then end up one day taking even a bigger leap....Thanks for the video as usual Alux :)

You guys have become important part of my life now. Thank u .God will always be blessing u . Thank u love from Nepal.
Caring too much about someone
And
Giving someone too many chances
I have the same struggle. What if they are your family and you feel like you are required to give them a chance and another chance and another chance ?
Vic Row it’s my immediate family - mom and siblings. Lots of dramas and vicious attacks. They hurt me so many times but I just didn’t learn. I have been distancing myself recently and feeling great
@@finelife6019 hey follow your instinct! If it doesn't make you happy not worth it respect the fact that they would be a part of your life since it's family but it's alright to keep a distance for your own well being
@@finelife6019 love toxic family from a distance .
Number 5: spending time where you don’t really want to be.
But that’s school😭🤣
[School is very important, don't take what I'm saying the wrong way]
I have to assume you mean high school and not college because most people in college are there for a reason otherwise its a huge waste of money.

Unearned guilt is also a big one that isn't worth it. Bell :)
I think TH-cam is doing a demonetization thing. It's like they are purposely trying to hide content. I think TH-cam needs competition. Great video as usual Alux.com and I am honored to continue to be on this journey with you. #bell
Robert Lee James Welch I agree! I can’t think of a single service in the same field at their level.

Bell, rode out to San Diego about 25 years ago on a big motor cycle. From the mid west, next to Canida via Dallas. From my early retirement. One of the best decisions I ever made. Whether is perfect compare to the old location

You can't be happy in future if you are not happy with your present li're.
Sounds similar to the case of religious people
This isn’t true at all.
I would add that it's not worth it to blow off school and waste your time there. Do the best you can in school so you have more options later.
Try to get away from friends who don't have your best interests at heart. Just ring the Bell.

Waste time talking about politics and religions!
Politics actually matters and affects lives
politics are important and to religious people religion is important
Bruh Moment but religion is fake
Yup when I traveled abroad especially the more hostile countries, I learned to not talk about 2 things. Religion and politics. Every time I opened my mouth about it people get aggressive and force their point of view onto you. Some times getting in your face.
"you live the life you want to live"
thanks for the reminder...

This is a thought provoking video. With respect to Diderot; many of us are guilty of over purchasing for stuff we “think” we need. The wisdom of your message has further importance on referring to our environmental impact on nature.

- Spending time watching motivational videos... :D

19. living to work,,,,working all the time....being a workaholic
I love these countdown videos more than the new ones that are focused on one topic
