With 1 & 2 being when he was a kid respectively, we never saw any of the legendary hero or great friend until episode 3 which was only brief moments before he was corrupted to the dark side. Episode 1 he was that annoying little kid they picked up (and Obi Wan was stuck with after Qui-Gon died). Episode 2 Anakin was the angsty teen no one liked and was kinda creepy. At one point Anakin notes he sees Obi-Wan as a father figure and that’s basically it. They barely even interact in the movie with Anakin not doing anything helpful until he gets destroyed by Dooku. Finally in Episode 3 we see them working together as equal and having friendly banter and great respect for each other. Except that lasts less than a third of the movie with Anakin and Obi-Wan then separated until after Palpatine has corrupted Anakin to the dark side and they fight. The Clone Wars shows us the Anakin we were always promised (and got for a fraction of the time in episode 3) and I love it for that.
This is the kind of superhuman Jedi antics we never get to see in the movies. I love the movies, but I'm so grateful for the Clone Wars and Rebels for giving us Jedi at war.
Jake Warren Yes. It is good, especially for 2008, compared to The Force Unleashed which does look dated now. Compared to Seasons 4 and 5 though, it's like Good < Amazing. Rebels is in between both. And the 2003 Clone Wars is basically timeless.

Ahsoka in season 7 was hugely Anakin inspired and I loved it. I especially loved the blue lightsabers Anakin excitedly gave her as a present. I wish she kept those instead of the white she’s later using in rebels and Mandolorian.

I’d say this is the first episode that really starts to encapsulate the scale of the Clone Wars for the galaxy. First time I watched this series the episodes before Grevious’ Lair were pretty slow and I wasn’t sure if I should continue watching. The music in this opening and the shots caught me way off guard. This is where everything picks up and I love it

I want a show about the war as a whole. With different jedi and units in each episodes. Taking a step away from Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi wan. With more new characters that are jedi knights, masters, sand padawans. Plus clone commandos and NULL arcs. More Aayla, Vos, Plo Koon, Fisto, Ki Adi, etc. Ki Adi Mundi also had a Asian woman as a padawan. She survived Episode 2 arena battle. I want to know what happened to her. Also more units like galatic marines, shadow troopers, ultra droids, and dark jedi that work for Dooku

Kanan was at the peak of his power when he did that. Anakin at this point was still growing.
Kanan was amped because it was a life or death situation. If that just happened to Kanan normally he would immediately die because he’s fodder.
