Honestly, a goal can just be a means rather than an end. It can just be about appreciating the process, exploring, or proving ourselves we can. Plus, quitting one goal can give you more motivational space (or even inspiration) for another goal that you are truly passionate about :)
Really appreciate your videos! Just discovered you recently and love your insights and songwriting

It is good to know when to call quits. I 100% think that you should do stuff as long you enjoy it (unless it is REALLY mandatory). I have struggled with this myself too in the past. It makes stuff so much more enjoyable when you know you can stop any given time :D Makes starting new things more easier too!

Bro SAME Ive been working on some songs for months and haven't alllowed myself to focus on anything else for so long. Sometimes you need to take control and not allow yourself to be controlled by sunken cost value. It is hard, however, to discern between it being sunken cost value or just procrastionation/laziness. I feel like when doing music you do gotta force it sometimes to get to the finish line. I usually know, however, that I am forcing it too much when it feels so forced that it takes away all the joy, and that's when I stop and focus on something else.

As always, I appreciate your perspective. I would add that it’s hard to hand off a project to collaborators when it’s so close to the end. I have an EP 5+ years in the making, and I finally had to let my bandmates take it over to get it over that final hump.

Good video! Felt the same in a very different context. I am currently doing a semester abroad and at the beginning i felt like every weekend i need to travel, see a new city or go partying. Didn't realize that it was draining me and now I just feel like i want to take time for myself so I can focus on things i really matter to me - writing my thesis and making music

related to your video on piano for producers: if i dont have a full size keyboard, do you think the same transcription could be on a mini midi keyboard ?

Beautiful Camus in lovly shorts, amazing music, milk and chocolate (my milk and chocolate), it's so hard to give it up. and I'm not giving it up at all, I'm enjoying it) oops, the shorts were in the previous video, but I can still see them, and not only them, it's adorable, and above all, you make great music, it's amazing, that's why I wrote, I hope these feelings of mine are appropriate

Same. I abandon books that don’t hold my attention. Life’s too short. I’m also more aware of how Enthusiasm wanes and then the monotonous grind needs to take over on any long endeavour. Often I’ll wait until the ‘starting excitement’ has dissipated before setting myself a long goal. Dopamine hits are responsible for a lot of my regretful purchases in life. Regarding those weekly uploads: better to post when you have motivation. We’ll wait. 😀👍

Jesus loves you bro. He died on the cross for your sins. Repent (turn away from your sins and turn to Him) believe in Him and you will be saved. ❤

100% I feel this top, funnily enoughz with a book about last year i just stopped and never finsihed it because I have to finish it before anything else. This also happens alot to me as a producer where i hate not being able to finish songs... And actually I've used this methord of the thinking about you as another person.. IT HELPS ALOT!
also excited to see the future of this channel 🤌🔥💯
