- At the request of a subscriber, I show in detail the three variants of blade exchangers adopted by Leatherman (Original SURGE/ 2013 SURGE/ SUPER TOOL 300 EOD). It appears that the blade exchanger of the 2013 SURGE is the most versatile ( jigsaw & Leatherman's saw/file).

I really wish they had included the blade change file/saw in the 300M especially since they deleted the normal saw all together. Hopefully I can get my hands on the blade exchanger by itself and modify my 300M myself.
Dear diezelle57 Thank you for your information~! I was amazed that I couldn't attach a thick wood saw blade to the ST 300 EOD saw blade adapter.
The blade exchanger, bit driver, scissor and knife blade are the only tools I want on multitools. I got the bits and bit extender for my wave and surge.
I recently got the Gerber Armbar. I love the concept, just wish Gerber put more heart into it. Scissors are shit compared to SAK scissors and the magnet holding the bit is chipping.

It made me think, the ST300EOD blade exchanger is more sturdy eventhough it is narrower than the new Surge's blade exchanger.
If I can find a cheap ST300EOD, I will cannibalize the blade exchanger to be put on the new Surge :D
Now I have Charge ALX to be cannibalized for its microbits driver, serrated blade cutting hook, and the plain edge blade 154CM which is a better blade than 420HC in the new Surge.

Somehow, I prefer the blade exchanger in the new Surge better, because I think it's provides better locking mechanism than the Supertool 300EOD, and easier unlocking mechanism than the older Surge

Tiene un punto malo, pero es tan improbable que suceda que no creo que tenga caso mencionarlo, como sea, me encanto y si en la versión Surge sacan mejoras de ese tipo en la parte de sierras intercambiables y en el intercambiador de puntas, yo me inclinaría por esa Surge para traerla conmigo como lo a hecho el modelo con cortadores intercambiables.
My friend, I loved the clamping system of the super tool 300, is this the newer model? It has a bad point, but it is so unlikely that it will happen that I do not think it is worth mentioning it, however, I love it and if in the Surge version they (Leatherman) make improvements of that type in the part of interchangeable saws and in the tip exchanger, I would lean towards that Surge to bring it with me as the model with interchangeable cutters has done.

The thickness of the blade exchanger of the ST300 EOD is 3.33 mm, that of the mini screwdriver driver of Charge is 1.92 mm ...
