Emo music doesn’t make things worse wtf. I feel like when I hear lyrics that describe how I feel I feel less alone. I feel like I’m not the only one. I love my happy music but when I’m sad I like to hear music about how I feel.

I really hate that the stereotype for emo means you’re “depressed”. I feel like it’s bc people outside of it don’t understand. Yes, the lyrics are sad and deep but it’s to be relatable and help people who are struggling. I love my life but I listen to emo music bc I feel like it helps me feel relatable when I do struggle with things in my life. I have my happy days and sometimes I have sad days just as much as anyone else does. Emos are just people too. Emo are people who get sad just as much as any other normal person does too. Emo just makes relatable music for when you’re sad to relate to. I think it’s a good thing. Bc if I’m hurting and feel sad, the last thing I want to hear is happy music while I feel like crap. It’s even more sad. I feel like if you try to listen to happy music when you’re hurt, it’s more like forcing yourself to keep your feelings in.

I listened to so many songs without actually listening to the lyrics. How would you know if your teen listens or even understands the lyrics? I looked up some of the Lil Wayne songs I love to see what the lyrics were then I realized I liked the rhymes more than what he was saying. There is one song where the beat is just amazing but after listening to the lyrics I was like, WTF Wayne? "Weezy F Baby come to take a shit and urine

I have to say Daphne this really clears things up because knowing that you said that listening to hardcore music is just something that they like I think emo is interesting because it is something different and your right about all this I don't listen to hardcore very often but I think it is cool I just checked out Penns and knifes and I gotta say it is good

To be honest I have a from of autism too and emos are pretty cool hope I meet one in person someday I am a guy that is 29 years old and I hope to meet a emo girls and become friends with her and spend time with her and go shopping with her
