Makes it sound like the 2000nx2 has been around FOREVER. It really hasn't. Just now 5 years as of 2021, and it took a min for them to be standard at events/clubs. But I am pretty surprised how many people have dropped $$$ for the 3000s during a pandemic and with no proper events going on anywhere. It seems to be mostly established djs that had plenty of money already before we all lost gigs. Pioneer has reached Apple status when it comes to gear I guess...some people just have to have the newest thing. Meanwhile I'm still using original 2000's in the home studio. I will be able to afford nexus 2's in about 5-7 years :P
PS Its about time proper cpu/gpu's and other components are getting put in these things for how damn expensive they are. Two of them are worth the same price as my car

Summed up perfectly. The sad thing is that even the SC5000 for $800 (with 2 decks in one) is *still* superior in most ways, minus the slightly smaller screen and 24 vs 32bit audio which is irrelevant for 95% for all people anyway. Pioneer became lazy and greedy.

@@ImpactSpace there's an argument that Pioneer became lazy and greedy, because they know they can get away with it. I don't know any club in the world who uses Denon and only a handful of DJs decided to use them. Everybody and their aunty wants Pioneer. That being said, their products are great and the 3000 seems to be a warranted upgrade from it's predecessor. I think they got a bit scared when Denon released the SC6000 as you can tell they copied a lot from it, but doesn't change that fact that it's a quality product. The problem is that it's overly expensive in comparison.

For the loading speed, the CDJ200nxs2 is a bad example, I don't know why but its slower than the old NXS, I have both the NXS and NXS2 and I normally prefer the NXS if I'm using pre-analyzed tracks just due to the loading speed. And somehow, This is even slower loading a song than mine NXS2...

@@4nd1ist ok I've used both and if you already have the DDJ1000 it's not a big leap to play on club gear. The layouts are very similar you'll get it after 15 minutes of use. In my opinion buying used 2000s would be a step backwards. If your goal is to be a big club DJ I wouldn't recommend Denon even though their gear is amazing and technically more advanced than Pioneer.

Did cd decks not load as fast as the 3000? I know my old denon sn5000 did anyway with stored que's ! I have not had decks for 8 years, I am looking to get a new set. If the 2000 nexus were so slow , why was they rated so much, Just proves market share does not mean they are the best just means more gullible people were conned into buying inferior equipment , I always knew denoon cdj players were superior to pioneer back when i brought mine, and considering Denon invented the 1st cdj decks, then this side by side compression just proves this to me, Denon are what you should be looking at still if you want real equipment aimed at professionals music magicians.

    • @BopDJstore

The CDJ-2000NXS2 does hit low load times in cases when hot cues and memory cues were also used. If you compare the two load times, you can see the NX2 waveform loads 5.48 seconds after the CDJ-3000 (0.15 seconds). This is utilising all 8 hot cues on the CDJ-3000 & 8 on the NX2. This 5.48 seconds would be considered quite a long time in a high pressure club situation. The CDJ-3000 loads the track first allowing you to play instantly then loads all 8 hot cues which take a fraction of time, in comparison to the NX2 where you cant actually play the track until all 8 hot cues are loaded.
In regards to tracks without hot cues the CDJ-3000 takes 0.15 seconds to load and the CDJ-2000 NXS2 takes 1.15 seconds, once again in those high pressure situation where you dont want to miss this is quite some time and has caught me off guard before.
This is all in regard to the CDJ Series, its entirely down to preference in regards to Pioneer DJ vs Denon at the end of the day, but this upgrade to me makes the CDJ-3000 a next generation unit!

Still way behind from the Denon SC5000 and SC6000. The jogwheel turning rough like that on previous generations of CDJs is a total joke. You'd think that paying over $2000 for a CDJ-2000nexus would get you a smooth platter, but no. Cus Pioneer DJ is Pioneer DJ and somehow we need to stick with Pioneer DJ because it is the "industry standard" in overpriced and underperforming DJ gear.
