The Govee Aura Table Lamp is a complete light with a fully featured app and memorizing modes - Some of my favourite parts; Simulations of a campfire, sea waves, sunset vibes and really good multiple music reactivity visuals that works quite well! I discovered after shooting this video that there are multiple sound reactivity modes to choose from that all have a different visual style (not pictured in the video)!
After playing with the light some more I discovered you can also modify the scene modes to your own colors and timing, save them as presets and then share them online in the app! (Which was only briefly touched upon in the video). With this feature Govee has really opened up infinite possibilities for different modes and effects the lamp can do. I'm still discovering cool things it can do!
This lamp is an RGBIC "smart" evolution from the similarly styled and Aukey Table lamps which were the last video we reviewed on the channel in this same style! Spoiler alert, I found this light fantastic, and no this video is not endorsed, I'm just genuinely enthused LOL!

I just bought a set of the rgbic’s and set them up today, so stoked half of my apartments ceiling is lit up. I bought the 65’ or whatever and all I can say is wow. Haven’t even put a dent in the options they offer yet. One thing I love is using hey Siri for different modes! I hope the woman enjoys them as much as I do… because she doesn’t know about the purchase or them being set up yet….. wish me luck

This looks awesome! I especially liked the fire effect, but really all the effects were nice. That you can make your own is just incredible.
Yea it's pretty sweet, I learned after shooting the review you can pretty much change the effects and customize the colors of them to your liking!

I just got this from Amazon, and it no longer needs the separate control box - it's all built into the Aura now. The mic for music mode is right on the top. I'm an admitted RGBIC freak, and this just might be my best purchase besides the two 16x16 RGB LED panels that I have and use with PixelBlaxe.

I use the govee LED strips in a few spots in my house and if you use the individually addressable ones you can do all the moods and scenes too. They are really owning the RGB game.

I have the govee light bars behind my monitor on my gaming setup, they are amazing and so glad I got them. I had thought about getting phillips hue light bars but they were expensive and plus you needed more stuff to use em. This company seems to be on the balls with updates and customer service from my experience, definitely wanna check this out as well. Always looking to add to my light show in my setup.

I’m really feelin’ the magenta colours, not sure about it being labelled cranky via mood colour chart. I like the retro type feel it vibes out. I’ll take mysterious tho. The finger sketch is an okay feature I can definitely see that improving for a possible 2.0 version model in future.

I had a thought the other day, that I work all week 6-7 days a week, 5-8 hours a day planning, producing, shooting, editing or posting to create essentially something that is consumed in 10-15 minutes. My govee light just arrived today, I didn’t got the second adapter and also wen I’m in music mode and is in full silence in the room the light is always bouncing like is with sound 🤷🏽♂️ I already put the sensitivity in the lowest and it continues to do that can you please help me

Have you tried WLED firmware on an ESP 32? It is by far the best option for RGB stuff. DIY Ambilight, sound reactive, and hundreds of animations that you can customize! WLED is the hidden gem in the world of LED’s ♥️

Great. ....my favourite colour is....Horrify...I'd love to get one of those as a large wall panel. The speaker and alexa features don't impress much but the colour and patterns are amazing. I personally loved the snowflake, and wave patterns

Not made to work with a power bank charger. There are other battery powered devices that may be more ideal!

Just ordered two of these based on your video! Curious... Does the music mode only work from music on your phone, or do they have microphones built in?
That's the greatest part, it just works from inbuilt microphones, and works well.
You also have to check out their rgbic strips, so amazing!!!
I believe I actually have some I ordered I just don't have any place to put them! I'll likely re-do the strips on my desk and replace them with that!

Once I set this up with Bluetooth can I then connect my Bluetooth to something else and still use the lamp how I set it up

Thanks for the detailed review and demo. I was looking at the Philips Hue Go until this caught my attention. They cost about the same but this seem to be better value than money. But i noticed that it doesn't seem as bright as the Hue Go (it doesn't seem to light up your face when sat on the table in front of you). Is this bright enough as a reading lamp next to the bed?
Definitely bright enough as a reading lamp. Remember the camera settings for the video are dialed into my huge and powerful key lights! But it will provide just enough light as a reading lamp!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Great! I'll be picking this one up as a bedside table lamp to compliment the Philips Hue Play bars on my PC desktop at the other side of my bed. Is the light intensity bright enough light up a corner or a side of a bedroom when running in Music (sound sync) mode? I intend to use the Govee to sync to the audio while the Philip Hues on my PC desktop syncs to what's on screen while I'm gaming.
@@artyboy1377 Best thing is to just try it out. The music sync mode probably won't put out as much light as the regular mode only because it's always changing colour and light intensity to try and match to the music! Please consider using the links in the description to make any purchases! thanks!

Is this or the moon side light better? I like that the moon side has a more round shape and goes further down but not sure which to get. PS love the channel man everything about it is right up my alley!
