After I got tablet weaving cards as a gift, I needed to find a shuttle to use with them. Now I've stumbled upon your video and if I scale things down, I'll be able to make my own for this! Thank you so much!
Thank you for the great instructions. I made my tools and I’m feeling very proud of myself. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, you are extremely generous to provide us with instructions. I am sure the video process is time consuming but you must know how grateful some of us are!!!!
Thanks Sherry for your supportive comment. It’s pretty exciting to make your own weaving tools! They charge a lot of money to buy weaving tools. My passion is arts and crafts so it doesn’t feel like work to me but many many hours spent putting a lot of thought into how I am gong to teach it, then the gathering of supplies, filming, editing, publishing and then keeping up with answering comments. So thank you Sherry for acknowledging the time spent to create videos! Much appreciated!
As many have said - *THANK YOU* for showing us how to make our own weaving tools. (If only it was as easy to make our own curved needles. 😊) One thing that could really make these your own tools is if you can either paint or stain them. Just an idea - what do you think? 😃
And thank you for watching my videos! Basswood is pretty plain as far as no pretty grains to see if one was to varnish the tools. So in my opinion, I wouldn’t bother. I do like the feel of the natural bare wood so I probably wouldn’t paint mine but saying that. One could paint some amazing designs on the wood tools to personalize them for sure.
Hi Vicky, I bought my basswood from a local art store that sells it. You can also buy it from hobby stores. If you can't find it you can also buy it on Amazon. I have included the links for you so its easy for you to find.Basswood 1/8"x 3" x 24" amzn.to/2HPdL00 Basswood 1/8" x 4" x 24" amzn.to/2Hhw3tM

Hi there.
Does it matter if I end up even or odd with the number of nails?
Thank you.
S.
No it doesn’t matter. You can make the weaving any width you want so you don’t need to use all the nails.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts Thank you for your time.
