Yup i see it the same way ppl. In usa run to often. Pits are needed. And just because you have a plate does not mean you get the person if the car is stolen then the plates are useless. And the cops did not now who was driving at the time of the pit.

Don't stop using the PIT Maneuver. Right now, in many states it's the only thing from allowing total madness on our interstate highways. Just take a look at the drivers in Florida, Georgia and Arkansas. Once perps in those states learn they won't be stopped at 160 mph then it will become the norm for those interested in driving their Dodge Hellcat while stoned, drunk and with their sub woofer pounding away. White, Black or Brown, there's no specific skin color when it comes to speeding and breaking the law. Keep the PIT.
@ 40:24 I mean....don't f around if you don't wanna find out. Putting all these people's lives at risk because you don't think road rules apply to you and you just don't wanna pull over? Sorry bub, I feel bad for your family but you made a braindead decision to run from the cops. Consequences.
I fuckin' love these videos man. Seriously!!! Y'all give me the adrenaline rush that I crave. Feels like we're riding along on the high speed chases!!! Thank you for this awesome sick ass content. Love ittt!!! ❤❤❤
PIT maneuvers should stay. I completely feel for the suspects family, but the suspect put himself in that position. PIT maneuvers are widely known, so suspects know the possibilities. Looking up the suspects registration/license plate isn’t always going to be an option. The vehicle could be stolen, the plate could be a fake, etc. The suspect could continue to run further, as well. Let’s say the police decided to stop the chase.. the suspect gets away.. next time police see him he just flees again.. suspect could decide to run out of state/country.. so on and so forth. If they didn’t have the PIT maneuver, I think suspects would be able to get away with it a lot easier. THEY are deciding to break the law, THEY are deciding to run from the police, THEY are putting their OWN lives on the line.
Slow Speed limits for pits aren’t safe or effective as the slower the speed the least effective they are ( and would you believe does more damage to the patrol car) also it just prolongs the chase. Spike strips are pretty useless also as they can continue for miles running on the rims, which the driver hasn’t control of the vehicle and can wipe out innocent drivers. The idiots that die fleeing from the police bring the grief on themselves.
@@elainestokes7822 What about the civilians that die because an officer PIT someone into them at 100+...If you watch these types of videos then I'm SURE you've seen them.
@@elainestokes7822 Honestly high speed pursuits through high traffic downtown areas are too dangerous, if you have the plate just call it. Maybe it is stolen, someone ask dispatch and then you can continue to pursue.
The PIT is definitely necessary. However, a new device called "The Grappler" is available. It attaches to the front of the squad car and deploys high strength nylon straps that wrap up in the rear wheels and stop the car dead.
I know right?! He didn't come close to losing the cops even once! That's deesill powrrr for ya. Hah! If he was doing his annual boat tow, he sure would've showed em somethin'! Yeehaw, brother!
Y’all catch that dually license plate? FAD2BLK (Fade To Black) a term used in cinema to signify the end of a scene where the camera fades from picture to darkness Also, a song by Metallica about loss and emptiness and a desire for the end to come to release them from the pain and suffering. A bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy for this guy. RIP
Yes, the pit was called for and is a very useful tool in the cops playbook. Could they have arrested him later? How were they supposed to know it wasn't a truck thief? How could they know if he would or wouldn't continue driving like his ass was on fire and take out some pedestrians down the road. Fact is, he messed around and found out. He just bought the truck...Why was he running?
I can't imagine having the attitude of "I'm just not gonna stop." Few weeks back I thought FHP was about to pull me over and my only thought was "great, I'm about to be one of those crying chicks" was a very bad day, but I was gonna pull my ass over, quietly pray for a warning, but take whatever I was given because I was going 83 on the interstate.
Even if the teens who stole a car are given a slap on the wrist by the courts, can insurance companies sue them or their families for all the destruction they did to the car they stole and to everyone else they ran into during the pursuit? If so, that would stop their car thefts pretty quickly.
not cost effective, no. being sued doesn't equal paying for it. a family member has had billing, felony fines, legal awards, etc that he hasn't paid a dime on since a juvenile/young adult. he's now in his 40s.
All these chases, including the pit stops, are an important boost for the ailing American auto industry. This means that not only the auto industry, but also the construction industry are being promoted. In addition, there are of course tens of thousands of administrative employees, not only in the police force, but also in the justice system. How can you underestimate that!!! Of course, the fact that I only watch these clips during working hours should not be underestimated either. As a valued employee in the administration of the Ministry of Public Expenditure, I have absolutely nothing else to do. I am being forced to be present during working hours. What should I do? Clean my desk until the end of the working day?
Fleeing should be a mandatory 5 years with the car impounded and sold or crushed. The issue police have is that they don't know if it is the owner driving, even if it isn't reported stolen. They also don't know if the person is running because they just committed a crime, are going to commit a crime, have drugs, have weapons or other contraband they may get rid of. Then there is the possibility, and it has happened numerous times, that the suspect keeps driving recklessly after the pursuit is called of and injures or kills another person; then everyone is mad at the police for not stopping them. A PIT is a last resort to be used when spikes aren't available, can't be used or failed. Arkansas is noted for using them because they want the criminals to know that they will not stop a chase and will stop you any way they can at any speed. The ASP have officers specifically trained in PIT. Lastly, if the suspect knows that the police won't pursue and use tactical stops, they will always flee. In Britain, the police weren't allowed to chase scooters or mopeds if the drivers didn't have a helmer, so criminals used mopeds and scooters for snatching purses and cellphones and then throw their helmets if the police chased them. The crime rate on stolen scooters got so bad, that the rules have now changed and police are allowed to use certain techniques to stop them. Their police there also have a problem with criminals driving extremely recklessly because they know the police will call off the chase if they do.
Regarding pit maneuvers: Fleeing drivers already know that they are risking their own lives. Ignoring this 'self-knowledge' is their choice and responsibility.
GOOD IM GLAD YOU SEE THAT. I THINK IF YOU START GOING AFTER THE DEALER OR WHOEVER...SOMEONE ELSE SEEMS TO CREATE KAOS SO THAT YOU NO LONGER ARE CHASING THE ORIGINAL
Well that was some douche bag bullshit on the deputy getting reinstated and no slap on the wrist. That would have cost a non lawman a few hundred bucks and a fist full of points on their liecence.
I haven't liked the pit since watching the pregnant girl in the red suv and feel like there should be a speed limit requirement like 65 mph or below...I saw this justin kids video months ago and it only added to my thoughts of implementing some conditions. If you run from cops it your own fault if something happens you made the conscious decision run stop victimizing criminals your endangering others lives you obviously don’t care anyone else’s life the cops shouldn’t care about yours your a criminal
I think, and that is MY opinion, if the Police makes the decision that a PIT is necessary to end the pursuit, then the subject should be given a final warning. I believe American Police Cruisers have a Speaker system, right? If that warning is ignored, then the PIT will be authorized and the Officers involved should not be held responsible for its outcome (unless it is done in a completely careless way of cause). The Driver got his warning and knew what would happen if he ignored it.

It amazing to see these pickup drunks spewing out thick clouds of black smoke constantly but my gf's little 4-cyl Kia gets in trouble for emissions lol
Regarding the P.I.T. at 39:25, I say this: After watching dozens and dozens of TH-cam police chase videos, I believe most P.I.T.s are the best option for public safety. Most P.I.T.s end safely. However, if the P.I.T. is done at highway or higher speeds, the pursuing officer should use a bit more caution. Most of the crazy P.I.T.s I've seen are done by the Arkansas State Police, so maybe their culture/policy should change!
I wish the writers wouldn't use statements like "could this be a fake name?" Like look buddy, im here for the chases, not your opinions on it all. Police reports for almost all of these incidents should be available from the involved departments. Putting in the time to get some follow-up info and reporting that, in my opinion, is better than trying to stir up some mystery or unwarranted controversy. Also, I'd appreciate getting an actual voiceover person. I apologize if it actually is a person, but saying lead (like to have people follow you) vs lead (the metal) on the Orlando officer one makes me think AI.
