Some manufacturers recommend every 10 yrs. Just like timing belts, different manufacturers recommend different intervals. Better brands typically last longer due to better rubber compound. Also depends on what you use the vehicle for, example long trips newer tires are definitely better. Especially in hot weather. Short trips on a vehicle that's not used much doesn't warrant new tires every 5 yrs. Literally nobody changes tires that often on everything they own. Primary vehicles, yes. Spare vehicles, utility trailers, boat trailers, ATVs, tractors etc. no, not feasible.
I have a brand new set of 35x12.50R20 Ridge Grapplers on my F-350 and one of them will absolutely not stay balanced and no matter what I do I can feel my steering wheel shaking 45-65mph...I can't see a bubble but I think this could be the issue.
Nice job.
Thanks
Yeah, I hate when that happens with the gauges. Also don't like when the fill nozzle does not grasp the tire valve after a few times use.
Yes both can be very frustrating. Especially the gauge cause I had no idea it was wrong.
Tires are recommended to change after 5 years. The reason is rubber parts degraded and lost adhesion with steel components reinforcing the tire.

Not bad wear considering the pressure was off
