Such a quiet engine driven welder would you recommend the 1800 rpm over 3600rpm gas or diesel when welding around neighbors?

Big blue 400, 1800rpm diesel is what I was running. I have a 3600rpm diesel and it screams. Some of the New 3600rpm gas and maybe diesel also are quieter than they used to be and some will weld without being wide open. I think they are inverter based.
