Finished this game last night and it'll be 4 parts total although the ending will be 2 hours long. I appreciate all the likes and support so far on this series! One of the better games I've covered this year

This is so crazy to read because I am *literally* experiencing the exact same thing. I remember watching his Halo 4 videos and being entranced in the exact same way as these videos are now. Right on
The heretic astartes you are facing are from a legion called Thousand Sons. They were nearly wiped out right around their founding by something called flesh change, where they mutated horrifically, lost control and had to be killed. There remained about a thousand of them, hence the name. Most of the space marines you are fighting are Rubricae, who came about when one of the highest members of the legion tried to conjure up a spell to get rid of this flesh change to save the legion once and for all. The marines with lesser psychic powers were turned to dust and sealed in their armour, that's why they just look like empty suits when you kill them.
The details they put in lore-wise are incredible. I heard him say "Thousand sons" and went to look it up and found out all about the Rubric of Ahriman. I then saw him pull the head off the armor and there was no body inside. I can't even comprehend all the cool stuff I'm missing by not being fully versed in the lore.

I came into the Warhammer world only last year... And i'm still tumbling down this crazy rabbit hole of lore. It is marvellously rich and fascinating to say the least. Glad to see Brad absolutely enjoying this game.
Well Brad here is the lore the Thousand Sons were being cursed with their bodies literally turned to ashes because Areman conducted a ritual during the burning of Prospero. They are literally automatons at that point and no through and only follow order.
As I recall, red helmet is for sergeants and blue helmet with red and white stripe is for lieutenants. White helmets are for veterans. The Thousand Sons Heretics are a faction of former Space Marines with their demon Primarch Magnus sided with the Chaos God Tzeentch, one of the four Chaos Gods. Since Magnus is a formidable wielder of magic, so is the troops under him (the ones you where fighting here). These ones here are called Rubric Marines. The smaller birdlike beasties are called Tzaangors. My son collects Thousand Sons and Tyranids (the minis) and I collect Ultramarines, so I find this game particularly cool. I have the bigger version of the tank that gave you a lift, the Repulsor Executioner. I only hope that we get to see some Knights in this game, because they are massively big and cool.
I love how brad figured out there was a setting where you could put the helmet on everybody, that's so cool. I love the helmets. Stay safe Brad and co.
Used to watch you Brad YEARS ago, but due to life I rarely have the time nowadays. When SM:2 dropped I knew I had to return and shownsome support. I will say however, there is a distinct lack of chair related shenanigans.

Probably alittle late now but try lowering your brightness settings to lower than it recommends especially on the minimum brightness setting. It makes a world of difference on how the graphics and detail look. Gives it a lot crisper and cleaner look.

This feels like such an old school game that would have released during the 360 and PS3 generation and that’s a good thing. Everything about it is just so nostalgic to how games used to be. The animations, sound design, everything is so good. I know nothing about Warhammer and still bought this game so that says something.

I genuinely like the touch of heretic thousand sun “bleeding” sand when stabbed/killed. It makes sense lore wise
