+MetalGearStowe Man I am playing beta right now and let me tell you one thing... it was pretty close to real game :). Only difference is that "Rouges" are usually dead within 20 second because the rest of 6 guys just go all trigger happy... still its one huge paranoia in darkzone. Found my self taking 2 minutes longer route to extraction point, just to avoid incoming player and any "crowded" places. "You just have the loot you want to hold on to"... and some players are angry when they see place cleared with all the loot on your back.
That sounds really really cool. I can' wait to play this game!

I hate to be this guy, but this game takes place in New York, USA! Theres been a terrorist attack in a place that's already sensitive about shit like this. This virus killed millions and yet nobody's complaing. If this game was to take place in a different country you bet your ass there would of been lawsuits on ubisoft and people would been saying "Americas a peice of shit blah blah blah" you know the deal. Like the dictator we all know how that was almost handled (nuclear threat). And idk what I'm trying to get at but it bothers me how everyone thinks there better than america I know this country is far from perfect but if it wasn't for us half of Europe wouldn't be here right now.

You can do that but you will gain less loot in the dark zones there's more loot but also you can be attacked by "friends" and enemies

They are supposed to be a proffesional group that does a mission , not the casual gamer that plays for fun. Its staged like as if its a mini-film and theres nothing wrong with that. And just because you are not into these kind of conversations , doesnt mean that applies for everyone. You'd be surprised how many roleplayers there are out there.

moodyvids try playing the last of us multiplayer, majority of players there actually understand what cover is and know how to stick together. I was actually shocked with how well a bunch of randos can work together. I think, same case as The Division, its the 3rd person camera, makes you more aware of just how exposed you are.

The textures, the draw distance, the lighting, the FX, it is all the SAME.

This game looks as close to real freaking life as anything else we have been shown in video game history, and people are calling it a downgrade. That isn't up for interpretation by the way. The cold hard graphical fidelity is still the same as it was. Challenge me. I dare you. Let the hating, calling me "sheeple" or blind commence. Doesnt change the fact that all of you downgrade screamers don't know the difference between tessellation and parallax mapping. To be short- you don't know anything about graphics and rendering beyond "textures" and "lighting"

WolfieZee Although I agree with some of the things you said, (it looking different because of color) you can see that from the first demo they showed us at E3 2013 the game was much more grey. In 2014 they showed us a lot more colorful game (like you said, it looked "blue-er") but ultimately this is a worse looking game.
Compared to the 2014 preview the snow (and everything else) is lower resolution, light no longer bounces off of the snow as it did, lower quality ambient occlusion, and there's significantly lower dynamic light sources.
I completely agree with the fact that it might look different due to it just being in a different place, environment, time, etc. However you can't really argue with the significantly lower quality textures, ambient occlusion, and light sources.
In my eyes, it's a downgrade. Game still does look good, and I'm definitely going to give it a try :D

Martin Rupprecht You talk as if all console gamers would not be gaming without consoles. If PC was the only platform, everyone would game on there and they would make a lot more money from it. They certainly make enough from PC to reconsider on not doing a PC version. If you actually look up how sales are doing on PC compared to consoles of GTA 5 as an example, you can see how your idea of developers going bankrupt without consoles isn't entirely accurate. Consoles get them a lot of revenue, but lets not pretend it's the lifeblood of the gaming community, it just isn't.

upanddowntwice1 If PC was the only platform, the casual gaming market would practically disappear. Fact is, you have to pay a lot more to get a gaming computer than for a console that lasts multiple years. There's a reason gaming has gotten as big as it has, and it's because of consoles.
WhiteFuzion Well actually you can get yourself a descent PC for not much more than a console. And remember that you pay subscriptions on consoles, that id going to add up over the coarse of a consoles life span to past that of a PC.
There's a big casual market on PC with the games that are released there. As already mentioned, gaming would adapt to the existing platforms like it always have, the casual scene wouldn't die.
And like I said, do you think all the people on consoles would just stop gaming altogether if there were no consoles? Lets be honest, they come to consoles for gaming, not the consoles themselves. People would move to whatever system allowed them to game. If PC was the only option, they would use PC. Whilst consoles are a popular method of gaming, gaming itself is the reason why it is popular. Gaming could live without consoles just as long as there are other methods of gaming.

Not sure what you are talking about. The action is scripted, yes, but like "go here, do that, say that" to the players, like every gameplay trailer in the world (look at SW Battlefront for example).

Looks like there will be some kind of "karma" system, cause when Bronson shoot the first guy at the hellipad a voice says "Rouge Protocol initiated", and when Ryan kill Megan the voice says "Hostile agent neutralized" and the text "Rouge Agent Killed" appears.
Same thing with Bronson, "Rouge Agent Killed".
So KOS will probably have its toll.

There are even footprints in the snow, and they look a little different each time, which means, at least based on that game engine video they had a while back, the snow is dynamic. Also because it's dynamic, they're probably using something closer to pixels, rather than polygons. If anything is to be said about lesser quality, it was from a live stream, and it's being seen on TH-cam. I think I'll look at some articles written by people who've actually seen the game in person, to know if there's actually been any change; I'll think they'll give a more accurate report. ;)

Neil Merchant I fished around a bit: turns out this demo was on an Xbox One. The developer stated this to settle any "downgrade" arguments. Likely what this means, is that they were running the previous demos on a PC. Even still, the game looks amazing, and any noticeable difference, of which there are few, are not worth bashing the developer for, a developer that from what we know, is making the best game they possibly can. Sometimes that means making sacrifices, limiting previous ambitions, and disappointing some people. But with video games, the played experience comes first before all else.

The amount of fakery going on in this trailer, from the scripted players to the downgraded graphics and scripted playing is just hilarious and quite telling of the modern state of the gaming industry. I sense another Destiny flop

I'm not sure how I feel about PvP zones. I like playing with a team, but I don't want to have to constantly feel like I can't fully explore a zone because of people camping it or something, or working hard for some loot only to have someone who is OP shoot me down and if you're essentially told 'No PvP, then no good loot for you.' then you're forced do to PvP to progress. It just seems like a recipe for camping zones repeatedly. Is there anything which stops people simply sitting and waiting to cap people when they walk around corners in the DZ?
